Quite a few sources are claiming that, I can only assume it's on one of the Press Association articles (can anyone with access to the PA news feed confirm this ? Or are lots of individual journos making the same mistake ?). I heard Steve Bruce say this last night in a post match interview, so the journos are just repeating the innaccuracy

Dunn's interview post match on MOTD suggests to me that he is still a Blackburn fan, however, he seemed to be even slower around the pitch today but he is still a mercurial talent whose career will be diminshed by his recurring hamstring problem.

1-1 scoreline in a low quality game, Heskey always seems to score against Rovers, Emerton to take a point. -

2-1 to Rovers, Anelka first then Dickov agaisnt his old club, Stead finally gets his season on track with a 25 yard rocket. -
A sad end for TP - if he did find out via The Sun then that reflects very poorly on Hughes and the club - if the club's performances do not improve then this decision may come to hawnt Sparky.

Nathan Blake is the worst player in my short time that I have watched Rovers, apart from the goal at Liverpool in the League Cup, he was shocking - barn door and banjo come top mind. -

A clean sheet is too much to ask for - Huckerby has too much pace for our back 4, I would like to see Stead / Bothroyd start and then bring on Dickov for the last 20 - 25 minutes 2-1 to Rovers Stead / Emerton. -

Emerton and Fergie were outstanding today, I hope Souness looks elsewhere in the January sales. Negatives- Brad should have stopped the second goal and I thought Tugay was indifferent for most of the match. I was saddened to see Cisse fracture his tibia / fibula - nasty injury which will need metal work inserting, he will not play for many months. Slightly more optimistic tonight but we are still in the brown stuff at the bottom end of the table. -

3-1 to the Red's I am afraid - our mid field will not cope with Liverpool , hope to see McEveley / Todd / Pedersen given a chance - they can only improve on recent efforts. -
3 - 0 to Chelsea, Kezman to score a hat trick, each one from a precision cross from Duff.

On 606 over the weekend a scum fan was complaining that Birmingham charged £45 a ticket, apparently other games at Brum have been priced at £25 or so. He was ejected before kick off by an orange coat for distributing leaflets encouraging fans not to buy pies / beers in protest - any one going to try this at the Bridge ?

What a poor pathetic effort that was, Tugay's red mist was so predictable, that tackle left Riley with no other alternative - such a stupid dismissal. His red card was the catalyst for a goal fest, the defence had more holes in it than swiss cheese, the mid field was all huff with no puff. Where is our next goal coming from ?? Jansen had little chance to impress, my only positive thought relates to Stead - he tried and looked like he wanted to play, unlike the rest of the " team". Absolute disgrace -

1-2 to Boro - I cant see our defence keeping out Downing / JFH / Viduka - sorry for the negativity. -

2-1 Fergie x2 - both from outside the box, Cole for Villa and Vassell to scare me witless all afternoon as he speeds past our statuesque defence but woeful finishing lets him down. -
Good news - several times when he played for BWFC he destroyed us, rumours from Notlob supporters are that they could not afford his wage demands, short term fix.

I think a 1-1 draw will be the outcome, hopefully Stead will score to kick start his season. -

Away fans are in the single tier Jimmy Seed stand at the southern end of the ground. -
3 of our family are going - have relocated to Jack Walker upper as the family stand is closed - at least there should not be too much of a queue for the chips. As for the game - I would like to see de Pedro have a run out with Bothroyd / Stead up front - a goal would do wonders for his confidence.

Brad was very lucky - MOTD showed it was a clear penalty towards to the end for his clumsy challenge - oh well, I am not complaining. Bring on AFCB - will be very interesting to see who plays. -

On reflection, I am pleased with the appointment, it would appear that the player's are behind him, the board feel he will improve Rovers and it is imperative that we support him wholeheartedly. I am really looking forward to Saturday for MH's team selection. Call me sad but I also relishing Wednesday night against Bournemouth, I hope that some of the youngsters play a blinder to give MH a real selection headache. Let's get down to Ewood on Saturday & Wednesday to show our support to the new manager and the board, Rovers onwards and upwards. -

On reflection, I am neutral about his departure - perhaps a case of walk now before being pushed in a few weeks. GS has achieved a lot for Rovers and I will have many happy memories - stuffing Burnley, promotion, a great day out in Cardiff and beating the likes of Arsenal and MU. However I think GS had taken the club as far as he could - he has gone off the boil over the last 12 months, as he seems to have done at all of the clubs he has managed previously. I wish him well and I am looking forward to hearing of training ground spats with the likes of Dyer , Bellamy and Shearer - all of whom have big ego's. Will he get Dyer to play right wing ?! Perhaps the best news is that Deano et al are relocating with him - I personally never rated his coaching staff. I just hope that he does not try and steal our squad / academy come the January sales - what price Shearer back in a Rovers shirt to end his career ?
