I believe that Sparky will continue with his philosophy of a strong side - QPR do have a reputation of being physical so I would expect Todd & the Axe to play, 3-1 to the Rovers.
I think Matt's best goal was agaisnt Bolton on a freezing cold Friday night in League 1 - he ran towards Jaaskelainen, feinted and the slid the ball into the net in front of the rovers fans - magic goal.
I hope Matt prospers where ever he goes , the club have been really supportive of him, many others would have cut loose a long time ago.
What a day out !
Away end jam packed, 3-0 Rovers win and managed to escape from the car parks relatively quickly.
Two M-o-M - Nelsen / Zurab -the Wigan strikers had hardly a sniff of the ball all day and Lucas had a good game also. Brad made 1 outstanding save in the second half but was otherwise virtually unemployed. Dickov was less effective than usual but Bellamy was electric with some fantastic skill and ball control.
Down side - the huge scrum around the 1 kiosk selling food - no chance of a pie at any price.
Best moment - after the whistle went for FT with Robbie bowing down to the chant of the crowd.
Happy new year
I am not too optimistic about either game - Cup game, Boro to win in extra time; Boxing Day a better game from Rovers if Bellamy / Nelesen are available, an honorable draw but still only 1 away day win so far.
There was no queue at the TO this morning, does any one know about parking at or around the JJB? - have only been to the preseason friendly and you could park directly outside the ground - thanks.
I am going to break the habit of a life time and go with Lawro - really cannot see Rovers getting anything from Highbury - 2-0 , Henry and V Persie - sorry folks.
Really enjoyed the game today - I can only echo all the previous comments about Tugay, he was immense. Charlton were poor - Sven will not be including Murphy and Bent on todays showing. Bellamy looked a threat all over the pitch and the team spirit was there for all to see.
2 negatives; the crowd and how on earth did Mr Dowd not give the penalty?? - the most blatant hand ball at Ewood for years.
Great result - bring on the Citeeh.
Mr Lawro reckons 1-1 , I think Charlton's pace could catch out our defence abd Charlton have been much better away from the Valley - 2-2 to Rovers, MGP / Bellamy for us and Bent / Bothroyd for the Addicks.
Would be absolutely delighted with a point, but after taking off the blue / white tinted glasses I can only see Chelsea winning at a canter, 3-1 with Emerton sneaking one back.
I am fed up with Lawro's negativity towards Rovers - so I am going to 2-0 win for Rovers with Englands new Messiah - beanpole crouch marked out of the game by the admiral. MGP / Reid to score for us.
