Agree - the story is a win-win for the idiots at the club. The only question is why BB hasn’t signed the Villarreal deal. If it is because of family then i think it is a reasonable deal for the club. We might have done but at that point he was being touted for PL riches can imagine we made offers for 2+1 year around the 15-20k mark but his agent told us to do one on the, reasonable, assumption that he could do much much better. As it is now - if the player is hesitant about a relocation and form is not there then the agent is doing his job by exploring options ”in accordance with his clients wishes” whilst possibly improving the odds for a successful and lucrative move.

I think there was a genuine fear that Dack might have in worse shape than he is. Losing Rothwell as well meant it was a reasonable signing but, with hindsight, perhaps a little overpriced given his role now. But if wages are reasonable then it is an ok signing imo

I would say that the team has improved but is suffering from not taking chances and feeling the pressure of that. individual players is hard to judge as the same bunch blew hot and cold last season as well. Up until recently a case could be made for the defensive improvement and our effectiveness in taking chances. SG, BB, JV and possibly Dolan/Hedges need to wake up and hopefully Thomas can be a catalyst whilst giving Dack help.
