Wasn’t it confirmed that Moran and Hill agreements included gaurantees of gametime? Not sure if it was literal or that there were severe financial penalties if they didn’t play… -

Actually could see the potential and logic IF he was 20-21 but at 24 he should be further on to justify a fee. Also to be fair - he has the Marx brothers defending in front of him and (yes I know it is bollox but…) statistically was way ahead of Pears prior to the weekend. All that said - right now we need Pears to come in and Wahlstedt to work hard in training and maybe level up muscle wise… -

I suspect this is part of why Ennis must be loaned out and soon - easier to then argue that Gallagher is needed (numbers wise - ability is judged to be of secondary importance by our leadership) -

I think this is why Travis was shown the door - Buckley returning nothing to do with football - purely wagewise -
From a distance the current supporter discontent is more about recent results and our head coach not “parking the (presumably leased) bus” despite the bloody obvious lack of players capable of doing that and a point blank refusal from his bosses to recruit such players… For whatever reason - even when he was grossly overachieving - many see JDT as a bigger problem than our bent owners, dumbed down operations and a CEO/leadership that does not want success on the pitch. Mindblowing 🤯

Agents (like players) can negotiate a bigger fee if there is no transfer fee involved… The only loser is the “selling” club -

My wife suggested we could turn it round when Garrett scored - I told her that WBA would start trying again and score a 4th… Didn’t have to wait long to hear the sweetest words in marriage - “you were right” 🥳 -

On tv here so guaranteed loss. Only question is if it will be a depressing 3-0 or gut wrenching 2-1 with a late winner for Brom from a corner… -

If it is what it takes to keep him happy and “in the zone” then it would not be unique and it is JDTs call to keep him playing the best football of his career. (btw - I would have subbed him but man management in the modern game is not as easy as it was) -

Suspect that SS has an agreement not to be subbed unless injured -

Honestly think JDT is limited to “I would like” when it comes to transfers - as is often the case with a DOF model. The difference is usually the DOF is tasked with finding the best players for those positions (or improves the team/squad). Usually the board/owners have a genuine desire to get the best available within an overall financial framework - balancing increased revenue based on results against future resale value and wages of players. Our owners seem to only focus on one criteria despite having pissed away millions by seemingly only being interested on a minimum ROI otherwise fuck it - let them leave for nothing. Bizarre -

Managed decline is a phrase that has stuck in my mind. Part of me wonders if this sudden change wasn’t planned all along - why wait until 6pm if the decision is made?? Get the tickets moving asap Unless the goal is to keep the crowd number “manageable” (cost wise) - screw revenue as that seems totally unimportant… -
People who tell the truth in football tend to have very short careers in modern times…

Poorly formulated targets can be both catastrophic and humorous (sick/dark) If Swag is given the instruction/target to cut costs then that matters for him to keep his job or be paid off. i once had a project where the owner offered me a huge bonus and long contract if I could generate a profit within 12 months at a leisure facility where customers paid a yearly fee in advance. No restrictions on what or I could or couldn’t do and no formulated goal/plan for year 2 and onwards. Easy - cut all maintenance/service except those that would breach any legally binding agreement with customers. I get paid having achieved the owners target and pisspoor owners would then look at my long contract and probably formulate a new, specific goal, raise prices for the reduced number of customers whilst holding (or even cutting) costs further to “match the new reality” Sadly I am not SW - I informed the owner of foolishness in his offer and the business is thriving 15 years later having grown steadily and established a reputation for service alongside an ambition to improve the quality of services each year or within a realistic timeframe edit: corrected autocorrect 🤣 -

Whitewashing - no. Responding to opinions about broader issues with our coach - perhaps it is the wrong thread. simply - we were off it from the kick off but still in the game at 43 minutes Even at 1-0 down there was a chance but the start to the 2nd half was no improvement and Brittain sealed our fate. Big question is would we be just as upset if it had finished 2-0? Think the 2 late goals, however well deserved, have turned a shit performance into a catastrophe -

Wasn’t a double substitution prepared just prior to Brittains idiocy? Leonard was one of them - didn’t see who the other was tbh -

Brittain Only long punt all game - pretty obvious he knew the whistle had gone. Maybe JDT will make him sit at the front of the bus on the way home… Seriously just wtf - max fine, triple training and outreach/community work over Christmas/New Year should be the minimum consequences -

TBF none of them has done enough to warrant a start and Leonard and Ennis are the best 2 of the 3 to have on the bench
