  1. My thoughts are we've got 4 players signed and that the plan is to unveil them at half time tonight. A man can dream
  2. You know what WILL effect our results? If we don't bring two strikers and two wingers in.
  3. We went down by 2 goals. The biggest regret was when we beat Villa 1-0 at home with their fans cheering us on we could have won that game by more if we'd have gone for it as they were long gone on their holidays that day. That's old news though. Our season could have a similar story this year though if we don't bring anyone in. I'm scared at the minute.
  4. It's my birthday today. Give me something to smile about Rovers. Sims from Southampton would definitely be a coup. If we could get him on loan, Chapman/Maddison on a perm then Armstrong on a perm and another striker on loan we'll be looking sooooo much better.
  5. I honestly remember seeing him at Ewood in his Wigan days and talking with my brother about how poor he was. Little lump with an absolutely horrendous first touch. He's obviously a bit better now and did score a few for Ipswich last season but 8 million pounds for Martyn Waghorn has blown my mind. 3 million for Armstrong really is the going rate then isn't it. Christ we are fooked.
  6. Martyn Waghorn is going to Derby for 8 million pounds. I'm done with football. F**k me.
  7. If Ruben Rochina was playing with players like that when he was here we'd have ended up with a 50 million pound player on our hands
  8. I'd say the same. Obviously you have players like Giovinco who are a class above and that's why they do so well because the general standard of the league isn't the best. It suddenly picked up standard wise when Beckham moved but it seems to have stagnated a tad recently. Seems to be the place to go to end your career though, if I was a player hitting my mid 30s I certainly wouldn't mind playing in LA or Miami for a couple of years on a huge wage.
  9. I've watched my fair share of late night MLS games in my time and Harrison is a good little player. I'd definitely take him on loan.
  10. Need someone a bit more mobile than Sharp. Bradford can have him.
  11. Said it on here a few times, one of the most technically gifted players in the league. Would have taken a gamble on him. Keep him fit you've got a player on your hands. Doubts on that though all being said.
  12. Never really got a chance with us did Byrne. Looked a pretty tidy player. Did well at Oldham last season think he had more than a few good performances for them. Imagine he won't be there for too much longer.
  13. Definitely. We either need to get Armstrong tied up or move on to someone else, so short up top at the minute it's frightening.
  14. The player we are after is surely either Nmecha or Harrison. With an outside chance of Phil Foden. Be happy enough with any of those three.
  15. 16 days isn't a long time to get 4 players in though. And we won't have much time to integrate them into the side before the season starts. Big 16 days ahead..
  16. Mo Eisa signs for Bristol city from Cheltenham. Big potential and he was mentioned on here by a few as someone we could have had a punt on... Times running out..
  17. I think the only glimmer of hope at the minute is that last summer most of our signings came as surprises in the sense we weren't massively linked with any of them over a period of a few weeks where we were questioning whether a deal would be done. Most of them when announced were players we as fans weren't actively talking about as potential transfer targets. Praying to god our owners aren't arse raping us as usual and have actually given Mowbray a bit of something to work with. ?
  18. Probably because we can do better than Harrison. Just like we can do better than Ryan Kent who's never done anything at championship level bar a few good games for Barnsley.
  19. I wouldn't even torture yourself talking about promotion mate. If we can stay up this season and push on from there then maybe. This team as it is certainly isn't good enough to go up I think that's pretty clear.
  20. Peterborough's chairman said yesterday the club in for Maddison were recently relegated from the Prem and were waiting to sell a player before buying Maddison. Rules us out. EDIT: Just realised he's on about Marriott not maddison. We're still in the chase lads
  21. The amount of money in football these days, any championship club might seem a decent proposition to a mega rich businessman. Chuck a bit of money at it initially, get up to the prem and then the big money starts coming in. If we were put up for sale I do think there would be definite interest. Save this debate for another day though. There's signings to be made
  22. Certainly knows where the back of the net is.
  23. In today's market I'd say that's a good price if anything if true.
  24. Ideal world we bring (Nmecha/Harrison/Chapman) in on loan sign Maddison and loan (Gallagher/someone else) and sign Armstrong.
