  1. "But also, be prepared to play on the wing or potentially in goal." ?
  2. Should I use a special colour or something when being sarcastic?
  3. West Bromwich Albion. How have we got to a position where we are less appealing than West Bromwich Albion? I've been to West Brom, there is nothing there. There is nothing in their town there is nothing in their trophy cabinet. They are a poxy yo yo team who will never go anywhere. We are Blackburn fucking Rovers for fuck sake, pride of Lancashire, rich history, ex Premier League Champions. Stop being ridiculous Cedric and come and play for the biggest and best club in Lancashire. But also, be prepared to play on the wing or potentially in goal.
  4. Yes, posted this just as I saw the next one. However, I am sticking with my 'not believing everything Tony says' mantra ?
  5. Sounds like Williams departure could be funding a new CB coming in. If the incoming is Kipre, and it's essentially cost neutral for what we get for Del, then that'll be Mowbray's finest work since signing Sir Bradley.
  6. You should really charge for these lessons, can't be giving out that kind of stuff for free ?
  7. Fair. Point still stands, no harm in giving the guy a bit of a gee up. At the same time it's healthy not to believe every single thing TM says.
  8. Bit of salesmanship there from Big T. Absolutely no harm in giving the lad the feeling he's been our no.1 target for some time, even if it doesn't quite add up.
  9. Given our lack of options in this area do you think Big T will enforce the '6 months to learn how we play/become one of the lads/be Eliot Bennett' rule or will he go straight in for the Bournemouth game?
  10. Again, I wrote "convincing themselves" not "convinced". A key difference. And a perfectly reasonable statement to make when I read posts like "Kaminski, Kipre & XYZ would be a great window" meaning a spend of over £3m plus wages, in my opinion highly unlikely given the current situation.
  11. You'll note that I wrote "people are convincing themselves" not "JoeH has convinced himself". Actually, perhaps you didn't ?
  12. Some random bloke on twitter says something and people are convincing themselves we have £1.5m to spend on a single player ?
  13. Keeping their powder dry possibly, not wanting to let everyone know we have money to spend. (I'm no fan of either)
  14. Solid between the sticks and a demolisher of dicks. Makes sense in Venky land
  15. Err'ing on the side of optimism whilst supporting Blackburn Rovers, you deserve a medal sir!
  16. I can believe this one. Got all the necessary Venky requirements ticked - British, young, not good enough for a similar standard team in our league etc
  17. It's far fetched I agree, but nothing makes sense with these people. The fact that they're prepared to lose £m's per season for no palpable benefit whatsoever is, for my mind, enough to convince me that it's not that much of a leap to believe they have a puppet within Ewood calling the shots on transfers. Regardless the conclusion is the same; promotion under the current setup is highly unlikely, and without the cash injection that brings were pretty much fucked.
  18. People lie, even Mowbray, he's almost certainly towing the party line and will continue to as he knows that he is as high as he will get in the football pyramid. They've also got the chap over here running things - is it Pasha? Means they're removed from having a vested day to day interest. Annual budgets are probably about as much as they contribute. I'm very much anti-Mowbray but you cannot ignore Venkys role in our transfer business.
