  1. It'd certainly be an opportunity to get a bunch of our u23s some Championship game time...
  2. With that attitude I'm amazed you have any. We northerners are meant to be a friendly bunch.
  3. You're looking at 2 years in the PL. In the Championship for Newcastle he played 30-odd games (promotion form, no less), previous to that at Forest he was their starting keeper for 3 years, and a very solid one too. His lowest rate of clean sheets in the Championship is 25% in his first half-season as a mainstay for Forest in 12/13, followed by 28% in 13/14, and 29% in 14/15. Then for Newcastle in the Championship in 16/17 it was 38%. If he can help us keep an average of 1 clean sheet every 3 games, I'm happy.
  4. Let me get this right: A striker who scored 11 goals for us (with half a season under Owen Coyle) is 'shit'? Best not tell Danny Graham as he only scored one more that year.
  5. If it's like the 03/04 kit, let's hope we have a better season!
  6. IF we got Darlow in place of Raya, that would turn this window into a net (pun not intended) positive for me. Still needs a hardman centre back, and probably a striker too. Let's not forget we'll need to let a few go too: Samuel out and Nuttall on loan at the least. Possibly Smallwood out too.
  7. Raya, I'd be disappointed to see us lose. However, if Mowbray can pull off a great replacement signing, Raya could prove to be our 'Filan' to the Friedel. Personally I'm sorry to see him go, BUT there's no doubt he's lost confidence since his face was kicked in. You can tell he's even more reluctant to get stuck in than he was before. It could be that the Spanish guy at Brentford might be the perfect candidate to push him to the next level, while I'm not convinced we would.
  8. Only Downing and Graham there are 'old' going by average age that players end their careers, but reckon both have one more season in them, personally. Leutwiler is 'prime' age. Bennett, Evans, Smallwood and Mulgrew are perhaps a year away from the end of their primes age wise (although I think Mulgrew is actually nearly finished). As for Johnson, reckon he has another couple of seasons in him. Age isn't the key, it's how they fit into the team/squad. With that being said, I'd be reluctant to see any more coming in at 31 or older.
  9. Rodwell isn't our player.
  10. I'll say the same thing as last season. Isn't it refreshing to not know about signings until a day or two beforehand instead of weeks of sagas?
  11. Great signing! We've missed having an utter bastard in midfield!
  12. Think Johnson is a very good midfield signing. We've missed having utter bastard in midfield!
  13. Same issue for me on a Samsung Galaxy A70. It doesn't need resizing for me, but if I swipe a smidge to the left, the page flies left. As for the new colour scheme: Fantastic!
  14. Agree with your assessment there. Chairshots need to be protected with hands up. Also looks even better as you get the slap of the chair on the hands, while the wrestler can snap their head back to sell the impact. With a straight chair shot the receiver can't do that, so it can actually look and sound much weaker while doing God knows what kind of damage.
  15. Looks more like she's pretending to smoke a joint tbf ?
  16. I'll look forward to when I can get it direct from Umbro without a sponsor on. Unless I can fit in a kid's one.
  17. So 'no evidence'. Excellent.
  18. The best signing of the summer.
  19. Already our best summer signing imo.
  20. Nope, I refuse to believe all players age #Yakubu
  21. I don't hate that tbf. Weirdly, had we signed him before Downing, I'd probably feel better about both signings...
  22. It was good, but some really gross spots in the later matches. Plus Cody takes a NASTY unprotected chair shot. They claim it was a gimmicked chair that didn't work, but didn't look that way to me.
  23. If Gallagher comes in as a striker and not another false winger, I'm happy with it. Strikes me as closer to Graham's heir apparent than Breo.
  24. Reports coming via Whatculture and PWInsider that Vince has handed over creative control of Raw and Smackdown to two 'Executive Directors'. Respectively Paul Heyman (Raw) and Eric Bischoff (Smackdown). They will reportedly have 'the same power over their respective brands as Paul Levesque (HHH) over NXT'. That is potentially a long-awaited game-changer for the creative processes on Raw and SD! I guess the Alliance finally won!
