  1. Just tell him about that guy in the North East that `whacks` duff greyhounds for a tenner a do. Should see an improvement in form...
  2. We don't have a home game on a Saturday till OCTOBER 21st when Fat Sams Knuckle Draggers turn up in a the Breezeblock taxi.
  3. Although your dads is not available, there is this sight with autographs from that time. Click here This is a LET archive of a Richard Dinnis interview, mentions Eamomn. LET And I presume you meant it is his sixtieth, not sixth!
  4. Went down on a coach, came back on the train National express from Preston, with a bottle of vodka and 12 cans of Skol. After a drab first half, I sat down on the terraces and actually said "McKay Out"
  5. Wow! We have just broke the 31 degrees barrier on my desk. (In the shade)
  6. Went to Hull and back Abbey, they had a Normid supermarket or something similar built onto the back of the terrace, like Burnden used to have. Pretty grim, was a great 2-2 draw there once, Rovers were two down at half time.
  7. Try posting the groups real name.
  8. Terry Gennoe, Roger Jones, Paul Bradshaw, Rovers goalkeeping pedigree is superb. Except Vince O'Keefe. Cue everyone saying O'Keefe won us the Full Members Cup.
  9. I have 26 of the Observer top 50, and I presume this makes me more of complete human than the rest of you swine. Typical Observer tunnel vision, missed this classic.
  10. I have a digital thermometer on my desk, not in direct sunlight so it gives a proper number. Today is offically the hottest day of the year so far on Preston Docks, we finally broke the 30 degrees barrier. I had to catch the train back to Chorley last night, and most trains were either delayed or cancelled due to the heat causing the tracks to expand, leading to speed limits on the track! Max speed 20 MPH.
  11. That is odd. Cost us €5M too.
  12. Didn't know you are a Dallas fan Mum. My favourite was Victorian Principles. We should sign her up. A great pair up front.
  13. Just got back from renewing three season tickets. We have moved from the Darwen End to the Jack Walker upper. We asked if we could go in the ground (tongue in cheek) to check out the different blocks, rows and seats and the staff went out of their way to help. The security man unlocked about 20 doors, went up in a lift and round and round the inner workings of the stadium. Checked all the different options and picked the best we could. Granted we were spending over a grand, but the customer service given was absolutely the best I have ever received from any where. To go in and pick a seat, sit in it and try it out before buying-fantastic. Full marks to Rovers Office was busy too, with at least a dozen other renewals being made while I was there.
  14. I noticed that. Most World Cups I have seen on TV, the less glamourous games had a tendency to be played in half empty stadiums. Excellent idea Andy!
  15. What's black and white, and red all over. Answer...
  16. I left it for Abbey.
  17. I used a fork and knife Stu.
  18. Two Rovers mates from BNFL had tickets in the main stand at Deepdale, they were seen being ejected out of their seats midway through the second half after several instances of jumping up and shouting everytime we looked like scoring. I celebrated sat on a wall outside Kwik Save with a doner kebab and a bottle of champagne.
  19. The report also quotes the fee as £2.25 million.
  20. It was a crap World Cup, compared to some I can remember. No real feeling of emotion at all, not bothered by Englands predictable run and demise, Brazils lame surrender, Argentinas implosion, etcetera. Maybe it's actually just me and I'm becoming jaundiced by the whole thing. I blame the Premiership and Sky TV.
  21. Typical Phil, beat around the bush, mealy mouth unopinionated...
  22. Interesting. Substitute all the African placenames with English ones and World Cup with Olympics and 2010 with 2012 and there's another Scoop for you!
