  1. That is odd. Cost us €5M too.
  2. Didn't know you are a Dallas fan Mum. My favourite was Victorian Principles. We should sign her up. A great pair up front.
  3. Just got back from renewing three season tickets. We have moved from the Darwen End to the Jack Walker upper. We asked if we could go in the ground (tongue in cheek) to check out the different blocks, rows and seats and the staff went out of their way to help. The security man unlocked about 20 doors, went up in a lift and round and round the inner workings of the stadium. Checked all the different options and picked the best we could. Granted we were spending over a grand, but the customer service given was absolutely the best I have ever received from any where. To go in and pick a seat, sit in it and try it out before buying-fantastic. Full marks to Rovers Office was busy too, with at least a dozen other renewals being made while I was there.
  4. I noticed that. Most World Cups I have seen on TV, the less glamourous games had a tendency to be played in half empty stadiums. Excellent idea Andy!
  5. What's black and white, and red all over. Answer...
  6. I left it for Abbey.
  7. I used a fork and knife Stu.
  8. Two Rovers mates from BNFL had tickets in the main stand at Deepdale, they were seen being ejected out of their seats midway through the second half after several instances of jumping up and shouting everytime we looked like scoring. I celebrated sat on a wall outside Kwik Save with a doner kebab and a bottle of champagne.
  9. The report also quotes the fee as £2.25 million.
  10. It was a crap World Cup, compared to some I can remember. No real feeling of emotion at all, not bothered by Englands predictable run and demise, Brazils lame surrender, Argentinas implosion, etcetera. Maybe it's actually just me and I'm becoming jaundiced by the whole thing. I blame the Premiership and Sky TV.
  11. Typical Phil, beat around the bush, mealy mouth unopinionated...
  12. Interesting. Substitute all the African placenames with English ones and World Cup with Olympics and 2010 with 2012 and there's another Scoop for you!
  13. Materazzi said... " ZZ, please make the only part of your head with no hair on connect with with my shirt" Alledgedly.
  14. Don't apologise for your mates Mike, they're not an isolated bunch. It's happening all over the Premiership now. You've done your bit, that's all you can do.
  15. I bet he made Duffer go to the bar for him and get the drinks, bring them over and then miss his mouth with the glass from 2 inches.
  16. I was sure that was going to happen sooner or later last night.
  17. Taken apart is a bit strong Jan. Aside from Denmark in a mad friendly, I cannot recall anyone taking us apart . (Presuming that this means a three or four goal dubbing) Even when we play badly, and this has been fairly regular over the last few years, even the best sides find it difficult to actually beat England. Look how many games SGE actully lost in his reign, forgetting Penalties. Which is also a weakness as well as a strength. Too cautious, too scared to loose.
  18. Well Den, the Rovers fans want a big name and they dont come much bigger than Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Could be worth a run for 12 months?
  19. What do reckon of this gadget? Bogus or kosher? Free PPV
  20. Old Riverdance is getting pelters from the crowd!! Class!
  21. Just got a message from Lucas Neill, my "hero" From HeroMessage@telstra.com Subject Your Hero has replied Dear Ozz, Your messages throughout the World Cup were a great inspiration. On behalf of all the boys, I'd like to thank you for all your heartfelt messages. Lucas Neill 6:56:32 PM 5/07/2006 PS I'm off to Milan, so thanks for everything and good luck in the relegation scrap! Cheeky Twank!
  22. Not as good as me scotch eggs though.
