I met/stood next to Statto (Angus Loughran)who had been at Old Trafford for the footie, and was on his way to Horwich (Reebox Stadium) to do the Khan fight last night. Dismissed Englands opponents as a `pub team`.

Modi-DO NOT GO in Last Orders on Market Street- It's like a soup kitchen, but with booze. A lot of pubs have stopped having big screens now for some reason, but , depending on your age I would suggest if your under 25 then go to Harrys Bar on St Georges St, they should have the projector screen on. Over 25 ish, there is a 50 inch TV and a nice 42 inch plasma in Sams Bar, opposite the railway station, round the corner from the bus station. Lager £1.80 a pint, hand pulled bitter at £1.60 and bottles of Perroni for £2.00. Thats were i should be. As for Astley Village, the last time I went in The Barrons Rest, TVs had not been invented in Chorley. As for non-smoking, forget it. No chance.

Am slightly disappointed to loose the big guy, the news only softened by the £2.5 Large ones. I would like to hear what he thinks of his year in East Lancs. -
FSP has gone abroad now. Recreativo Hulvargo or something.

Should be pronounced Emmo.

MIDO? D T F L B? -
Having been in the Darwen for as long as the drummers have been in the BBE, I never really got arsed about them. I am now in the Jack Walker upper, in line with the 6 yard box line and I have to say that they are a bit of a joke. They murder any spontanious chants and the business of running up to the goalie as he takes a goal kick and banging the drum to put him off? WTF?

Wow, I must have had some insight here! Thought Kuqi should have had the last 20 mins in place of Roberts. I thought that there was no connection between midfield and the front two either. Their pen was a def pen, Drogbas goal was class. That really was all they needed to do. If we loose at Bramall Lane then we do have a problem.

The club should introduce a new category, called cat TV. (All telly SKY matches)This would have a lower tarif, to encourage more fans. Or something like that, I have not thought that one through very much yet. -
Two nil to Chelsea. An early goal, followed by loads of Rovers pressure, which will ultimately prove a bit like most kids diets today, fruitless. Then a late 88th minute second, from a deflected Lampard shot, which originally was going wide but, like the majority of heroin in the UK, Ooijers attempt to block it was in vain. Cue mass exodus of the CIS/HSA/Walkerside/Perspex stand. If you could have any one current Chelsea player for free at t'Rovers, who would you pick?

I would not have subbed Bentley when he did, he was beginning to cause them problems down the right. Mistake by Hughes . And how poor was Andy Todd? I like the guy, but he was poor last night.

I would say that this is not the fault of Rovers though, as it will happen all over the country.

I went to WBA and Goodison last season, I can fully understand how bad it could be! -
Aye the weather, prices and the performance on Saturday won't exactly have Blackburnians cancelling their usual Wednesday sojourn to the Derby and Joan for Free 'n' Easy night for the visit of the Toffees. The only positive is that Evertons jammy win on Saturday may encourage of few extra Mickies to turn up.

It's no surprise that BabyBel cheese is so expensive, first they have a waxy sealed individual casing, then each one is then covered in a red plastic wrapper with more expensive sealing labels on. Goodness me. -

I hope SAS has woke up in time. -
The only time I' ve watched a Rovers game on foreign telly was in The Horden Rake last season for the away game at Birmingham. I couldn't go due to work but would have done otherwise as I really wanted to see it. On entering the pub, I suddenly realised why Hordens do it-it was packed out, and this is a decent sized pub too. I would guess on a wet wednesday evening , without the Rovers on telly it would have been empty.

I said digital, not binary. Dunno Den, I like to read stories from other people about previous games against the team being previewed, but the same stories will tend to resurface every year, such as my run in with law in Portsmouth over the now legendary Mick Channon incident. Pictures would be good too and other multi-media input but that I suppose gets a little technical. Competitions maybe? Guess the year, name the goalscorer etc but people would just Google it all the time. Maybe all previews and replies should be written and posted whilst drunk? -

With one or two exceptions, this preview is now merely a succession of score predictions. Where's the love gone, the humour, the pathos and pithe? It's like a digital version of the old analogue previews. -
I agree Den-most of his best performances last year seemed to be when he came on as substitute. The boy has talent, many observers have seen it in him, Hughes will know what his limitations are are it's up to him and his staff to get the talent out of him and performing at his best every week.
