  1. Ball goes out of play for a Sunderland throw in, stops at the feet of Ince, Sunderland player goes to pick it up, Ince back heels it away. Dick. Good game and goals as you rightly say. The Clarke one was a great move.
  2. No worries here. The line of succession is secure for decades to come. God Save The King.
  3. Extended highlights thanks to Watford FC. It is like a Rovers tribute show.
  4. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/14/northern-ireland-schoolboy-youngest-senior-footballer-uk-13-christopher-atherton-glenavon
  5. Mowbray inherited a decent enough squad with a few very good players. They are on a Championship and new manager bounce. He will need until at least January to work his voodoo. However I don't think he will dare to use them as some sort of experimental farm to pander to his fantasies of possession and tippy tappy. He just dare not try that shit up in Sunderland.
  6. Oh well, at least Ince lost.
  7. They crap a lot too so hopefully Jim the Albatross can drop one on Nathan Jones
  8. As the Watford commentators said " he could start a fight in an empty room". They were also less than complimentary about a small crowd in a big stadium and lack of atmosphere. A bit odd from a club who brought less than 600 away fans.
  9. I just take comfort if it's a decent shade of blue, this year's is as good as it's been ages.
  10. He was punched and a sneaky one from side/ behind, the Ref saw it too and copped out. On another matter, Davies came from an offside position to head the ball etc etc. Linesman/Ref spot on with that one.
  11. JDT seems to be a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" man, I'm ok with that. I certainly don't miss the 3 subs at 62 minutes routine.
  12. The little car turned in F1 performance. Hopefully the huge big tanker, hells bells it so big it's a juggernaut, gets a puncture tonight and the driver arrested for impersonating a football manager. Ok I admit it - Dolan and Hedges were both great last night, no one had even a slightly poor game ... apart from Watford. Hyam's goal ... stunningly good. JDT is building from the back which has always been the way to do it so he and GB get brownie points too.
  13. Watford commentators praising the tactical genius of playing Diaz wide left to exploit their RB ...........
  14. The Lancs Live article mentions Harvey going to Sunderland in 2020 when it was in April 2021. Harvey then took Barratt from Rovers to Sunderland. Have there been any more via the Mowbray Recruitment allegedly Co.? https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20183916.blackburn-rovers-analyst-leaves-join-stuart-harvey-sunderland/ I was going to add that I have always quite liked Sunderland, ever since the Montgomery save. Mowbray is just a temporary blight on them.
  15. Watford have played 4 away games, all draws, scoring no more than 1 goal per game with one game being 0-0. They are due a win or a loss.
  16. I think we know the rationale for that. This week's rail strike is cancelled which is a good move
  17. Did we not have quite a turn over of backroom staff this year and filling those positions became an important task for GB?
  18. Thanks Adam and to those at Rovers who got it done. Superb news.
  19. It's one of those tankers used for emptying septic tanks, most appropriate.
  20. Thanks Mowbray for publicly proving what some of us knew from the your first day at Rovers. It is a very good thing that the statue came to nowt, a big pile of shit would look so out of place. Its fortunate we didn't give him that 10 year contract to go with a statue. A stunning admission by a petulant and vindictive no mark.
  21. This could have been over in less than 2 days if the time lost on Saturday to bad light had been covered by an earlier start on Sunday, instead it was added at the end of the day which was then lost anyway ... Suprise, suprise..... due to bad light. A joke test match between an inexperienced, batting wise, SA and an England conviction that they can convert test cricket to T20 which will fail miserably against Aus and India, probably Pakistan too. In the short term the justification is winning games.
