  1. And the time in Pune is approaching 7 am, weather forecast sunny with a high of 31C
  2. Same here. I'm the Homer Simpson of DIY so have tried to avoid it for years. Despite that 2 of the major accidents I've had to date have been in the house but involved thinking I can cook and hot liquids. I suppose that's a sort of DIY .......
  3. On further research it appears he made an appearance for Everton v Villa in July 2020 - maybe he made others last season? He did get a good write up for the game v Villa He has been on the Everton bench as an unused sub 4 times this season Transfrmkt not always accurate it seems! Edit: Braithwaite made 4 consecutive appearances for Everton in the PL at the end of last season. I think I may have eventually got it right! By all accounts he showed well.
  4. And you are being generous. 9 at some level for Carlisle plus 4 at Everton - being 24 minutes in an EFL game and 3 games in PL 2 Then again I've not seen him play and at least he's tall so I take that as a positive.
  5. I am a great fan of Dolan. His step overs greatly reduce his forward speed making it much easier for a professional football defender to deal with. He should be majoring on using his ball control and speed to go down the flanks to stretch the defence and also run at speed direct into penalty area to shoot, pass or be fouled. Ronaldo was fixated on step overs in his early ManUre days but slowly learnt how to do them mainly when running at high speed. Dolan does them often almost stationary. Is one of Dolans assists down to when the ball accidentally bounced of his shin to Dack? after Dolan has basically run into trouble and lost control. Its not a criticism as it does show the value of getting into the box and as near to goal as possible.
  6. I had not seen the Will Rogers opinion before. Classic. Thanks, made me laugh. 😂
  7. For those interested in this sort of stuff Rovers average home attendances in the 70s and 80s were never as low as 5,000. Individual game attendances which are more dependant on the competition, opposition, hell even the weather may/were on occasion. Don't fall for the myth, which I've seen promoted over the years, that League were on average as low as 5k http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/blar.htm
  8. Saxton - one of the finest gentlemen we have ever had as manager. He just didn't go around telling all and sundry that he was. I have to disclose that I know Bobby so that will influence my opinion. However the despair that you felt under Saxton must be similar to what I feel under Mowbray. Mowbray got us promoted after he was a part of a relegation from the Championship. He failed then and admitted as much himself. I know the rebuttal, no need to waste time on it. Our low gates were also a result of what was happening in our society and football culture at that time when attendances across the country suffered. It was most certainly not just down to what was happening at Ewood. So in summary 12 years devoid of much success against a decade, that will in due course become 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 years etc etc under the Venkys which I submit will be devoid of any success and with Mowbray still at the helm, still asleep. Now that makes me despair.
  9. 100% correct. This bit ..... ''70's/80's ....... it was 20yrs devoid of much success'' especially annoying to me as it is completely fake. Did I dream the Kendall years? was I not at Wembley for the FMC Cup win? did we not get into the Playoffs, often? We were a great well run Club operating on buttons who make the current regime pale in comparison. I suppose the argument against my view of this bullshit will be use of the word ''much'', it is no argument at all. The condition of the Club in previous times to justify the current corrupt regime and its ineptitude is weak, a low shot and simply wrong.
  10. There's a lady in one of those houses who only drinks champagne when watching Marine. I think I saw her too.
  11. 25k+ X 10 quid plus TV plus appearance money, Marine not quite so poor now. Plus they get to play Spurs and Jose, probably see Bale and Son in the second half. Fantastic day for Marine and their fans. I hope the score is less than 10 though. Really nice to hear Jose and his team bought virtual tickets. Class.
  12. Post match I went to bed apathetic. A good sleep help me recover to apoplectic.
  13. That was rather nice
  14. The Club should provide a fold up bed for use in the dugout. He'll get a ricked neck sleeping in a chair. They haven't given the poor man a rug or blanket either. Poor do.
  15. Coventry which was a basket case and he admitted having failed to strengthen the defence. Which other Clubs has he voluntarily walked from ?
  16. As the Donny break starts I'm not sure where Travis is. As it develops the 2 Rovers far side disappear and its Trybull and Brereton chasing the Donny break whilst our back 4 flee the scene. Truly a shambles,
  17. I agree, but they are also the reasons why Pearson + Venkys would be doomed to rapid failure. Arse-licker he is not.
  18. BBC have always had a 'South' bias and it's London's biggest 3rd Round tie.
  19. There still have remnants of duty of care for their viewers plus their complaints Dept is on short staff due to Covid.
  20. That is fantastic, more so as it's on the BBC
  21. Prioritise? Same nonsense spouted for 3 years after Cup defeats. There is an easier explanation, and it contains the word Manager.
  22. Since you gotta go, oh you'd better Go now, go now, go now (go now, ooh)
  23. Plus a pie and a pint and a seat in the JW with rug provided
  24. I do appreciate and share your concerns about what Vs would do next, if that was ever on the table. Which it's not. Sadly.
  25. I was not scoring brownies, but stating fact. Live with being wrong. It's ok.
