  1. Pawson is either a cheat or just pathetic. Biased towards Leeds from the first Ayling dive in minute one, how did he not book Roofe and Phillips to name just two Leeds players.
  2. Blackpool away is a week before the season starts I think. Where can they fit an Ewood game in and maybe Wigan cannot make it this year.
  3. We are still short at the back and sides so Craig could combine that with some coaching.
  4. For the record jim mk2 is quite correct as far as proper English Language is concerned, and you probably know that already. The reality is that the bastardisation of the English Language by lazy Americanisation is winning the day and I'm getting to old to ''give one'' and the younger poorly educated generations within Britain are as much to blame as our old friends across the water. Not much to do with Summer Transfers but interesting and anyway I know the square root of FA about who we should be looking at for our Defence , I wonder if that should now be an 'EFA' ?
  5. Is this the problem? We are concerned about defence whilst most of the World is all about defense. We may be crap due to one friggin letter.
  6. Goes some way to explaining how you lot all confuse Mums, Sisters with Girlfriends. Have a great close season too when later on I'll be shouting for Jimmy!
  7. Young player, Championship appearances and goals, England youth player ...... we've been known to pay more for similar ..... I think we were lucky Sheffield Utd only wanted 1 million
  8. Arsenal and Chelsea to win tonight. Strategy change here : Off to bed now at 8.30 pm-ish Bkk time, alarm set for 1.45 am so if I actually hear it should be ok.
  9. I also doubt that any player gifted a contract extension this past season will be officially transfer listed.
  10. Had a great sleep though just woke up here at 11 am !! Recovering from watching the Liverpool v Barca game all the way through previous night. I have a history for this , Istanbul 2005 and off to bed at half-time being the other cock-up. TTF I stayed up to witness L'Pool win v Barca. Never saw Spurs recovering from 3-0 down and I was feckin tired and Moura was friggin useless from the part I saw as were Ericksen, Ali and Trippier to name just 3 spuds and well it was Spurs, serial bottlers Delighted for Spurs though and just maybe they owe me one. Off to YouTube to catch-up. PissedOff-inAsia
  11. I hope Spurs get through. Liverpool will see them off. Sadly the Citeh are another matter.
  12. In those days I recall senior squads playing these games and decent crowds, the use of Youth teams in this format a later development. Rovers have now won the Lancashire County Football Association Cup aka the Lancashire Senior Cup a total of 19 times, it's a very old Competition.
  13. I didn't fall for that ruse, I went to bed at half time when they played Milan in Istanbul in 2005....... A point overlooked is that last night Liverpool were quite adept at putting a foot in, sometimes quite slyly. I quite liked that facet of their game.
  14. I think you maybe right. I'm fixated on a game played in the late 80's. I note Mullin was with you from 92 to 95 and that you won the competition in the 92-93 season but not yet found any more detail. Rovers have just increased their lead as the most successful Club in this competition, just thought I'd add that fact
  15. Stunning! I hope I can sleep now after that . It's 4 am here and I'm off to my bed.

  17. https://ewoodpark.jimdo.com/blackburn-rovers-lancashire-senior-cup-lancashire-manx-cup-1982-1991/ Great days in the Competition revived by IoM sponsorship. In 1989 Rovers took 4,000 fans to Turd Moor is a group match which we won 0-2 The IoM festivals were good too, saw some decent teams and games there.
  18. Generally I follow the 'don't go back principle' but feel that applies less to defenders. Unless a gem has been discovered in Mowbray's European adventures I do not expect us to sign a CB who is better than Hanley so if he is available we should at least try. There is the 'red mist' issue with him but I like passion in a player. (Ooops, just remembered about not posting in this thread, bloody temptation got the better of me)
