  1. The moral of this story is don't ducking lose it again.
  2. What a difference a win makes. Delighted Dack scored. Showed great ball control at times. Joe should have buried the chance he created. A clean sheet too. Happy.
  3. Like what? Genuine question, name one amazing thing.
  4. Listened to the Podcast ? Got the answer right ? Never won the Tombola ? Head like a sore Bear GRRRRRR ?
  5. That's one I'd agree with. We play in Baby Blue and White halves, see even I can call them halves ?, well half the time anyway. Non aggressive colours, get rid.
  6. Raya at practice: Wanted to post it somewhere that's read. Not sure if the daisy cutters are meant.......
  7. The Macauley Bonne link is a Nixon, us and Bolton, so essentially made up. Lots of goals though. From a £7 MIL apprentice to a cheap as chips National League player? Now that part is believeable.
  8. Which reminds me, what's up with Rodwell this time?
  9. When I was late teens, playing as a striker, my coach gave me the verbals after I missed a sitter. It coincided with my having a three day boner..... I never thought to credit my coach...
  10. Actually BB is now an "apprentice" sub Striker, Joe being ahead of him in the Mowbray stakes.
  11. All professional footballers should be competent at heading the ball, if not then what have they been doing all their pampered lives. Beggars belief. Graham not even getting off the ground for the long throw, the other two no better. Mulgrew missing in action, Raya being Raya. Says to me they had not taken on board any of that weeks defensive coaching. That is the responsibility of the coaches and manager. It's all a bit late for a ball on a piece of string, which is actually how I learnt too mid to late 50s, so no Mowbray copyright there. Everything's a Story.
  12. Thanks, I had read it but forgot by the time I posted LOL.
  13. The very same. I have no idea what Oyston wrote to the fans, don't do Twitter but it will surface somewhere else for anyone interested.
  14. You can't do much wrong to something that started as pis. Allegedly formaldehyde levels reduced for UK market.
  15. Jim White via Twitter has allegedly published the I have been stopped from posting this by moderators. Oyston letter to the fans that the Blackpool Gazatte refused. https://backhenrystreet.co.uk/discussion/35597/gazette-refuses-to-print-owens-message-to-the-fan https://backhenrystreet.co.uk/discussion/35609/jim-white-has-posted-owens-message-on-twitter Edit: For goodness sake banning a "given name", frankly stunned by that. And yet you allow a derivative as in OWENS.
  16. I do think Raya came back far too quickly. It would have been best if he could have had the facial reconstruction surgery early and not wait to the Summer.... he was rushed by Mowbray simply because we have no proper backup. Not only has Raya had the actual impact and injury to deal with but also the wait for surgery, that is a hell of a lot to handle. IMO. My thoughts on Rodriguez are best kept to myself.
  17. Thanks, got a new mobile and very sensitive screen for my fat fingers, must have brushed the "hide" icon, well at least it wasn't the laughter one ?
  18. I made a response about 15 mins ago but somehow accidently hid it and can't work out how to recover. Just wanted to say I there is no positive that I can see in shaming or calling out a player in public. Drop the player by all means and tell him why in private.
  19. Leuitwiler was bought primarily to help us get International weekends off, actually playing only in extreme emergency and not as replacement for any loss of form by Raya. Poor planning. I agree that publicly shaming players is wrong. There is no positive in doing it, it is enough to drop players and give them hell in private.
  20. Most of Raya's faults would be cured by a top goal keeping coach. He's still young so time for them to be coached out before they become ingrained. Can't cure lack of real height though.
  21. Raya has improved in dealing with crosses, catching more than punching. He is still prone to deflect the ball back into play which is always likely to give attackers the advantage. He is a good reaction shot stopper though but like many suspect with a bouncing shot or curler. His kicking of a drop ball is frankly pathetic and basic decision making suspect. IF he had a proper professional ex goalie coach it would assist his development. The make do approach to his coaching is doing Raya no favours. Such coaching would cure him of going walk about but that problem is also indicative of a lack of communication throughout our defence.
