Good news. Maybe that overflow into the river Darwen flows both ways .

I wouldnt trust that. They said the BB2 problem was sorted yesterday afternoon then changed it to say still ongoing. They’ve been at it almost 24 hours now. We’ve had no or little water since 10am here. Its back on at gather moment but they are using water tankers to top up the supply and that runs out fairly quickly. As they topped it up overnight, that will run out quickly when everyone realises they can top up their kettles / have a shower / water their garden. UU need to get their finger out or the game could be in doubt.

Edit -
I'm fortunately enough to be able to commit to my ST up front so never really look at the monthly payment options we offer, but on the website it says "An eight-month payment plan is available for supporters wishing to spread the cost of their Season Ticket ". Which equates to about £55 a month until April for a season ticket at Ewood.
-
For the first season yes but not for subsequent seasons. In your second season at Hull if you've had enough by November you can just stop going. Looks like you have to give 2 months notice. I'm not sure its a massive benefit to us as fans, and unless it attracts more fans (which doesn't seem to be the case at Hull) then it's not in the interests of the club.
-
Hull's average attendance last year was their lowest since 1990. If there's a month with only 1 midweek game, and you were it precious about your seat, you would you cancel for that month. Would you bother renewing if you had something alternative the following month? Also in those years when the season is dead by the start of February think how much the sales would fall away. It's a good idea for the fans but surely would lead to less revenue for the club . The way to increase season ticket sales is price them ok to start with, and then give discount for every year you've had a season ticket. If the discount was healthy enough, the churn would certainly be less. I wouldmt have given mine up last year if I was throwing away a 20% discount I'd built up over a few years.
-
I didn’t renew at the start of last year. I was unsure of the post-covid situation at games and any potential scenario where we went to behind-closed-doors games in winter. I said I’d do a few home games anyway. I fully expected to do quite a few and simply didn’t. The only one I did was Sheff Utd, and it was the cheap ticket deal which lured me in. Otherwise i found I’d already planned to go here, or I’d stop and home and do this instead. Even the Preston game I left till the last minute and decided against going. (I went round to my mates and watched it there instead, but again that’s the elephant in the room with non-attendees in this discussion) Once we got through new year, and it was obvious the season was ‘normal’, I got a half season ticket (performances prior had obviously helped). I then attended games when I really couldn’t be arsed simply because I had a ticket.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

I’ve quoted your post above. If he wanted to move there no way we’re paying him £8million or whatever. If he didn’t want to move to Leeds we would just keep him. -

4) Say to Southampton you pay the £390k or you may lose the player to Sevilla or elsewhere. Also, the original point was about him signing a new 4 year deal with Rovers which is completely different from above. That 4 year contract removes the threat of him leaving for nothing. -

If you’re Rovers and you have him tied on a 4 year deal you don’t need to accept it. He’s young, his value is still rising. There will be other bids. I don’t for one minute think BBD will sign a new contract. But if he did, it’s certainly not against Rovers interests. -

A release clause means that if that value is matched then rovers would have to allow the player to talk to the bidding team and would have to accept the offer. Doesn’t mean he definitely leaves unless he wants to. Therefore if Leeds bid £17million and the player wants to leave then we wouldn’t have to pay up BB’s contract (or give a loyalty bonus or whatever) as the offer is still there to stop at Ewood and earn that money. We aren’t making him go or encouraging him to go. He is choosing to go. Your scenario only plays out if Leeds trigger the release close, Ben wants to stay but we want him to leave and need to encourage him to go. Which is a highly unlikely scenario. On a 4-year deal we’d be happy to keep him in January. What would be dangerous would be sticking him on a weekly wage for 4 years which would cripple us. -
There’s the first ‘WTF is VAR doing” decision of the season. It’s a clear foul on Welbeck in the box.

Alienating Ronaldo is going well then.

I was annoyed with Nyambe leaving, but Lenihan got away with his reputation at Rovers when he was just as culpable as Mulgrew for those defensive collapses a few seasons back. Wharton, Ayala and JPVH have far more bottle than Lenihan in sense of keeping their composure under pressure. We just need a replacement, which TM could never manage to get -
If you went to the QPR game as a walk on you get that cost reduced from the price of a season ticket if you buy one now. 2 wins from 2 and top of the league. Rovers should have that message plastered across every social media channel possible tomorrow.

If we sack Mowbray who are we going to realistically get? Who’d want to come and manage Rovers? -

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

After having a piss-weak midfield for a couple of seasons, Smallwood was a breath of fresh air when he turned up in league one. Admittedly it was at a lower level so we’re not comparing like for like. The difference is when we got back in the Championship practically every one of us agreed that Smallwood could and should be improved upon. However with Lowe he was “one of our own” and had come through the academy so some people vigorously defended him to high heaven even though it was clear he was nowhere near up to it at Championship level. -

I can't find it using the search so I don't know who said it, but I remember when he was here and getting called out for being poor from some of us, one poster said so many managers can't be wrong and that Lowe would be playing in the Premier League long before Rovers will be. 🤣 -
Fair play to them. They did well and I’m glad they won. It’s a magnificent achievement for them. Fair play to the Under-19s who have won the euros twice recently. It’s a magnificent achievement for them. I’m glad they won. The fact is if either had lost their finals I would have said “what a shame” and just forgotten about it. I don’t know why. That’s just the way it is. When Italy beat the men last year I was disappointed that night. However that feeling was nothing compared to feeling of significant Rovers losses. If I was one of those people who would rather England won a world cup than Rovers got promoted, then maybe my love for England would get me more excited about what the women did yesterday. But as it is I’m glad they won, just as I’m glad if someone from GBR wins a gold at the olympics.

I’m guessing not because “That of course then relies on the steward being prepared to challenge anyone who uses a concession and is obviously not a child or a senior, which is a big ask of the young inexperienced stewards.”
