  1. Yep. You’ll probably need to be “one of our own” plus 2 away games.
  2. Looks like the away end at Burnley is still split between Home and Away so the allocation will be smaller than that which we have received previously.
  3. Looks like only one previous meeting between the clubs, a two-legged league cup tie in 1974 which we lost.
  4. So your saying Chaddy might just be moaning for the sake of it? Rather than thinking the club are genuinely pricing their tickets too high for the prosperity of the area they are based in?
  5. They also won the league cup and reached a European competition final in the last 20 years. And that's irrelevant to how they will do next season too . In my opinion they will finish above Rovers, Lenihan or no Lenihan.
  6. Wilder took over mid season, turned it around and led them to their highest finish for 5 years. With another transfer window, I expect them to do better again under Wilder.
  7. A small right in a sea of wrongs. The seat situation could get messy but at least they’ve done it. There is surely no logic in still increasing the prices in July though.
  8. Kind of like a manager and a head scout then.
  9. no-one has seen him since he went to tell Big Dunc face to face that he hadn’t got the job.
  10. One of the plus-points of employing JDT as head coach is I can't see him wanting to further his career by finishing mid-table and just developing players. He knows his stock only rises if he does well. That doesn't mean he will be supported, but unlike a lot of the journeymen managers we could have appointed just trying to get another job to earn a salary, at least we know he'll be fighting internally to do as well as possible for the club. He surely had other choices across Europe.
  11. Not really. Your thinking it’s some guy whose job it is to come up with brochures and emails. Good marketing is also about identifying your consumer, your competitors consumer and your products price / value in the marketplace.
  12. This started when he said Myers was another on the gravy train but that at least the owners have now wised up. This whilst we have record low ST sales incoming, prices spiralling, a ground decaying, a manager leaving with no communication from the club to the fans , whilst our MD oversees all of this. There is nothing that the majority have fans have seen that implies Waggot is trying very hard to solve any of these issues. He’s just going through the motions trying to hit budgets every season by stealth taxes and increases whilst picking up a handsome salary. Feet up and riding the train. Add in the likes of Lowe also sticking around drawing a salary being forced from manager to manager and the owners haven’t learnt a damn thing. Not sure what DarrenRover thinks he knows which he can’t tell which will address the above. Maybe he’s been told that we’re actually going to start serving £5 Guinness Surger cans actually surged rather than flat. Maybe we’re going to gain a big sponsor mid season instead of losing one. But for us mortals who aren’t ITK, Waggots picking up a hefty salary whilst contributing little.
  13. Waggot is about to oversee the lowest season ticket sales for 40 years. This on the back of a relatively decent season. He’s getting paid for failure. He’s not just on the gravy train, he’s driving it.
  14. Bring back contested drop balls.
  15. Waggots main job should be to stop the haemorrhaging of existing fans. He is failing . A 23% increase in 3 years in the current climate is laughable. He has no long term goal here. His sees his job to maximise revenue on a balance sheet for this season only with no planning for 2,3,5,10 years down the line. If he could have 3000 in paying £1500 each but isolating the rest he would probably do it.
  16. Those Hungary players, who are in with a real chance of achieving something for their country in this competition, seem to want to be playing Nations League. They're over the moon. I said it last week, it's not the fault of the competition, which I quite lie. It's the fault of the timing of the World Cup. These games now should be the Autumn internationals. Also, good job this isn't Pickford else he would be getting murdered.
  17. Don't worry. Good things coming apparently.
  18. But this is a rovers forum and the last time Rovers employed a person from another club with no history in management was Kidd. If there were others in between they’d be referenced. If people were referencing Sammy Lee or Peter Taylor as an example of coaches not making good managers id see your point.
  19. We’d probably call Nyambe in to weed, but let him sit there while Bennett, JRC or Gally do it instead.
  20. Lenihan leaving itself doesn’t bother me. The fact we got relegated with Lenihan and Mulgrew in the side 5 years ago, and we’ve never permanently signed a better defender to the club in all that time, worries me.
  21. Exactly. Looks an interesting appointment on paper, but if decisions are taking way to long to be approved, or simply ignored, from those that really have the power it might be a case of how long will he stick with us, rather than the other way around.
  22. If Wagner rolled up now after this list of names I’d crack the champagne.
  23. When I had the discussion with Birdie that Venkys were clearly going to be bad for the club back in the early protest days he looked at me like I was from a different planet then. None as blind as those who cannot see.
