  1. The pass selection going forward is shocking at times.
  2. Got to hang on in this game until we realise we should have Dolan or Markanday wide instead of Gallagher.
  3. And Rovers play Burnley on the weekend of the Quarter Finals. As that requires only two more wins from either of us to get there, and we both have favourable draws in the next round, it looks like that could end up being a midweek game.
  4. Elliot came to Rovers with rumours of an attitude problem but there was no sign of it at all when he was here.
  5. I may be wrong but the number of of outlets open doesn’t appear to be a staffing issue. 3pm kick offs and bigger midweek games like Boro at home and they are all open. I think they are sometimes deliberately closed as for some games they think the demand isn’t there so they aren’t all required. Agree on the food choices. The current pies are awful.
  6. If it’s been raised several times already, and yet it’s still poor, that tells its own story. The problem in the JW upper isn’t generally for the bigger games when they have all the bars and food outlets open. It’s the ‘average’ games when they decide they’ll only open 2 of the outlets.
  7. Apparantly Waggot said we were bringing in ex-Fenerbache Commercial Director Don Alweçan .
  8. The best thing about that cup draw is there is a glimmer of a chance we could play 3pm Saturday. Even Malaysia won’t want to watch Rovers V Brum.
  9. As they haven’t played the original tie due to a waterlogged pitch, I presume that will be played when the replays are played w/c16th. Therefore if they draw then their replay could possibly be 27th.
  10. So they are bound to draw when they meet and mean we end up not playing at all that weekend.
  11. I’ve seen them twice now against Rovers and they are thalli aren’t very good. They need to spend to go up.
  12. If you get Man United or any other big club away in the FA Cup, the away side can potentially earn up to and over £1,000,000. I'm never sure why, for a club that pleads poverty under FFP, the financial carrot of progressing in cup competitions is ignored.
  13. Streamed on Bet365 if you have a funded account.
  14. Rothwell makes his first competitive start for Bournemouth this afternoon. Didn't know what thread to put it in so hoping this one is appropriate.
  15. JPVH starts for Brighton in the cup.
  16. I believed that until he signed, but soon realised he was actually pretty clinical. And most of the chances he got was because he was in the right place at the right time. The ‘five chances to score a goal’ was a myth spouted by Hoddle to justify not picking him. You rarely put a ball in the box and thought ‘why is no one there with him in the team’.
  17. Taking out the fact of how competitive the Championship would be for Rovers next season, If you could hand pick 3 teams to be relegated from the premier league from the teams which (realistically) could go down, who would it be? Mine would be Everton, Wolves and West Ham. Everton to finally have a brand spanking new ground and yet be out the top flight. Wolves to show the Portuguese model hasn't worked. West Ham to be playing Plymouth and Rotherham in their practically free super-duper Olympic Stadium. I think West Ham will have enough to avoid the drop, and Everton normally rely on a decent home record at Goodison. If they fail to beat Southampton at home in their next game I would be even more concerned.
  18. Defenders practically assaulting strikers in order to 'shepherd the ball out for a goal kick'. Mass encroachment on penalty kicks.
  19. He’s slagged Dack off most of the season until he got recalled and proved him wrong.
  20. In the context of the post you replied to, it wasn’t extreme enough for me to believe certain posters wouldn’t genuinely say it in defence of JDT !
  21. Clearly not judging by the fact he names JDT and his “knowledge of the position “ immediately before.
  22. And if their guy had squared it instead of shooting, and then they’d got their shot away on two other occasions instead of delaying, we could have been 3-0 down. As it was we had slightly better of the first half and slightly better of the game overall.
  23. If you think that Rovers could have won that game by half time at a stroll then I don’t know what to say. I was sat towards the Darwen End and, although we had more of the ball in their half as you expect as the home side, the chances were pretty even. I’ve also flicked through the Sky coverage and at half time most of the chances focussed on are theirs, and the opinion is Cardiff are doing well but need a cutting edge.
