  1. Of course it would make a difference. If Chile were not on the red list BB wouldn't have to miss three games. Why they are on the red list I do not know. I don't know why people can't test test on the day of travel and then test on day two. As it stands, you can't have a club paying a players wages but not being able to use that player. Companies for example don't have to pay employees who are called up for Jury service. Besides, even if Chile or FIFA payed the wages for the missed three games, the cost to the club should they narrowly miss out on going up or staying up could be much, much more significant.
  2. They've probably drove past the Fox and realised it's closed and thought "hmmm".
  3. No offence but it's a bit of a silly question. Why would increasing gate receipts not help ease the pressure with FFP? Look at BRFC as a failing restaurant. The food served is poor, the service and the atmosphere is poor. We've taken our best dish off the menu and not replaced it. However instead of improving the situation and getting customers back, it just puts its prices up to the locals.
  4. From the Home Page, the Podcast page etc... the SIGN UP button gives a "page not found" error. It works fine from within the Forum. (I found it because I used a new browser and clicked sign up instead of sign in)
  5. Ultimately it is Venkys fault and responsibility, but we don't play £13 million of strikers out of position on the wing because we're skint.
  6. As a generalisation, I think the older you are the more you have seen of a well-run football club at Ewood. Therefore the more of a shambles you think we currently are. If you've only got into Rovers in the last 12 years we've either been for sale with little investment, or under Venky ownership. This younger generation haven't witnessed the decline. The currrent level we are at is as good as they have known, and they want to spend more time watching, travelling and supporting the club and not bitching about managers and management.
  7. My point being they were clearly not good enough to be a premier League squad as they got relegated. They have premier League experience, but that doesn't mean they are premier League quality. Im not disputing they aren't one of the two favourites, but we are competing directly with them at the same level on merit. We certainly should be comparing ourselves with them.
  8. Not they aren't. They were proven not good enough to be a premier league squad last season and that's why they are in our division. They are obviously one the best sides in the league but if we have any ambition or belief we can ever get promoted then of course we should be comparing ourselves to them. West Brom may have scraped a last minute win against Peterborough but in that game it didn't look like two teams from different leagues
  9. At Rovers there are no wingers. Just strikers you haven't met yet.
  10. Either the lad from Brighton or Leeds will end up up top.
  11. No chance he's on that at Bordeaux, but everything about the deal would blow us out the water.
  12. Thought as much. Compared to who we get linked with Maja is a different stratosphere.
  13. Where's the Josh Maja link come from or is it just people wishful thinking?
  14. Season ticket holder at Ewood? Tough, it's closed.
  15. How do we know he wanted to leave other than ToMo said so (serious question, I may have missed direct quotes)
  16. That would be valid if we wasn't brushing under the carpet the fact we ended up playing a full season with a goalkeeper who was 5-times worse than Raya until Kaminsky actually arrived.
  17. Desperately need a striker in. Creating is obviously an issue, especially as we are basically carrying Gallagher each game, Aside from that it's a good squad of young players who look set to do better than I expected this season. I think one or two of them could grow into good assets (providing we keep them under contract).
  18. I see Sky are showing Championship games at 8pm on a Saturday night this season. Good luck to the Sheff United fans getting the train back from Swansea at 10pm tonight.
  19. Anyone remember the Youtube video that did the rounds before we signed Shabani Nonda. He was like prime Goerge Weah on those. Problem with Youtube videos is you don't have to sit through the 269 minutes of nothing before you eventually get to the 'highlight'.
  20. What this thread tells us: Southampton = Good Crystal Palace = Evil
  21. 20th Anniversary this season.
  22. No he just anticipates it going into the corner and steps to his left and the guy puts it straight down the mIddle. Highlights - https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/12375694/blackburn-2-1-swansea The save not long after was a cracking save though.
  23. As much as I think he has been a great signing and was POTS last year, I don't know think you can give him 8 when the only reason it was nervy was cos he dropped a huge bollock for their goal.
  24. Well I'm suprised but excellent win. There's life in the old dog yet.
  25. Wonder what will it be? Mentally not right, slight strain in training or he's turned up at Ewood in ripped jeans,
