Personally I've not said it does. In fact I said it probably isn't affecting crowds significantly. But it's only purpose is to get extra money in the pockets by ripping off those fans who chose to attend last minute.

Ripping off is the exact phrase I nearly posted last night. I don't think it's exactly the same as when we travel by train to London or Glasgow for work, aswe get the train as we can take calls, work on laptops etc.. Therefore we have little alternative. These journeys are generally paid for by the company as well so they get less resistance. Same with flights. Sometimes they say "We realise you have a choice of airlines ....." when they land but in reality there is often only 1 choice to get you from A to B at the times require. Generally the customer who pays these late surcharges has to travel.. These companies don't realistically expect to hold any brand loyalty with their customers and know that the travellers are desperate so will have to pay it, therefore they introduce rip-off higher prices. Football is different. We are trying to encourage people to come here rather than spend their leisure time elsewhere. As far as I am aware, you don't turn up at the cinema and have to pay £2 more than if you had booked it online a few hours earlier.

Whilst I don't think this is preventing huge numbers of people from going, I still don't get the logic. Has anyone got a link to Waggors comments because I know people say he's addressed this but I can't recall his answer. I'm presuming it's because they need more staff in the ticket office on match days, I went in the club shop before last Saturdays game and it was packed. They had to put lots more staff on otherwise it would have been queued out of the door. So why aren't the scarves £11 instead of £9 to pay for these extra staff? The staff required on a match day is there to take increased sales revenue from customers. The extra tickets you sell on a matchday should pay their wages. Now the club will say you can go online and pre-book your tickets. Get rid of the need for staff completely. But before we know it we will be buying pies and cans of fosters out of a line of vending machines at half time, and Mowbray will be replaced with some kind of Artificial Intelligence prototype designed by EA Sports.

Because I thought Bennett was better than Evans when they both have featured in central midfield this year, and apart from the first 45 minutes at BoltoN I've not seen much of Rodwell but I believe we need pace and mobility in there and Bennett has that more than JR.

I disagree completely on almost all of that and would have him in central midfield over all those you mention apart from Reed.

The guy was excellent earlier this season but has had to be moved out of position to cover Nyambe's injury. He's still done well but you want him dropped? Today reminded me of Plymouth last year. We dominated that second half but it just didn't happen. However I was far happier with the performance than I was for the qpr game. I thought everyone played well apart from DG and whilst the result is disappointing, I'm not too downheartened.

I know several season ticket holders going who want to go with people who are non-season ticket holders. Therefore they are hanging on. I'd expect it to be quite busy tomorrow and then before the game on Saturday.

I saw my first positive attribute on a Saturday. He's direct. He got the ball, wanted something to happen and drove in to the penalty area forcing the penalty when others would have stayed wide waiting for support. However he still doesn't look a natural dribbler and don't show enough to change my opinion of what he has co tributes so far. Poor, poor game with no standout performers outside of the defence. 0-0 would have suited that game to a tee but it's a massive 3 points. Looking at this game and the Bolton game, we are beginning to win ugly - and that cant be a bad thing!

He said based on what he's seen so far. Nobody yet is saying that we should cancel his contract. All we can go on is his very few appearances he has made so far, where the general consensus is that out wide he has been pretty poor. Now I was one of several people who said wait till he plays a while in his proper position before judgement. TM has just worryingly told us that he feels he IS playing in his proper position.

I've got a posse of people wanting to go to this. I'm going to have to chance it going on open sale to get tickets, but it won't a problem with 5,500.

It confuses me that on a rovers messageboard, you don't post your opinions because TM knows better than you. Therefore you will never, ever discuss if you think any team line-up, new signing, in gamd substitution etc.. is any good until we know how it pans out. It confuses me that say you thought TM had 'dropped a so and so' when you saw the line-up, but also say you didn't think TM had got it wrong when you saw the line-up ?

This is what confuses me. Roverfan99 has a point. You say that yesterday you saw the team news and thought "he's dropped a so and so". But you won't post that comment incase your view is proved wrong. Therefore you don't post your view at all. If you think the team he has picked is wrong, then there's nothing wrong with saying it. It's a messageboard to discuss Rovers !!!

God that was a grim day. We are light years away from where we were coming back from boundary park that afternoon.

The way people have been talking since the match finished, I expected that there must have been comments along the lines of "Mowbray should be sacked for that team" or "TM is taking us down again" posted between 2pm and 4pm. If those examples you give are the best (or worst) that there are then come on. Those comments will have been said in many cars and pubs by Rovers fans before the game. In fact, we didnt score until we eventually brought a striker on, and the decision to have 3 strikers on the bench (including one who on radio lancs TM said was unfit so would be unlikely to have been able to feature even from the bench) and not to have a centre half on there is farcical. You may think they are stupid opinions in your view and that's fine. Many others will disagree with you which is fine. However it's posts like this which ruined the post match discussion and made it into what it has now become:- Does saying "To start with no recognised striker and have three on the bench of whom two cost £9million is facical really warrant that reaction on a match thread. Or was that post done to point score and derail?

So if he picks a formations which is unexpected, has no strikers and which none of us would have picked, we are not allowed to question it? We have to just say "that looks great" ? Its posts like this which are point scoring which derail threads from the match.

Rodwell did go off injured. Mowbray seemed to indicate on radio lancs that Graham wasn't fit and was unlikely to be used even though he was on the bench, Bit strange that Downing wasn't on the bench instead, unless he's injured, considering that Brereton and Armstrong were available as striker cover. From the commentary and highlights it seems like great spirit to bring that point back. Superb strike by Reed. Gallagher and co. didn't do it justice on the radio.
