This season was the first one where my match-going has been seriously inconvienced by games being moved by Sky. I'm hoping it's a one-off due to the fact we started the season so well, although its still bizarre we have been on more than any other club. If the same happened next season, and with this TV deal also on the horizon, then I probably would look at not renewing.

Does anybody else, in a moment of quiet and calm during the week, keep finding themselves just sitting there thinking "Ryan, why didn't you just put your foot through it FFS" 😒

Are all Championship games not on the red button? Just for when we inevitably go a goal up so we can flick over to the others. -
Exactly. The only thing we can go off is GB saying he accepts responsibility. So I'm taking him at face value and blaming him.

Waggot and the Secretary completed the paperwork. The problem was they didn't have the required information to complete it until the last minute, hence why it was late. Who's fault is that no-body knows, but Saint Gregg took responsibility so I'm guessing he knows he's partly to blame. But all you Saint Gregg lovers keep shouting "But he can't complete the paperwork".

Yeah good point. I mean, Luton only appointed Edwards in November, but other than that 👍👍 -

Do that for our opponents over the next two games as well and you’ll get another perspective. -

Yes I’m fully aware of why Dolan is playing there thanks. -

We've scored 4 goals in 7 games Chaddy. Working hard clearly isn't enough with the players we have on the pitch. Dolan is not a centre forward but I completely agree his future lies on the left. -

For the obvious reason that recently Dolan has been terrible up top, and Brereton has been terrible out left (which I know is where his best form was but not any more). I think you’d get more out of Dolan on the left than up top, whilst getting no less out of Brereton up top. However given the choice I’d play Leonard as you say. But if he’s not going to play Leonard, and he’s not going to go with the Szmodics / Dack option , my third choice would be BBD up top. -
Except Ipswich have played Plymouth twice this season, lost 1 and drawn 1 so I’m not sure Plymouth wouldn’t grind results out in those 10 games as they have done all season. To be fair, Ipswich have taken 42 points from the last 48 available, which is phenomenal.

Yep. I edited my post ending after I posted it as it read like I was bashing Dolan when it’s not really fair on him to ask him to play there regularly. -

If we aren’t going to play Leonard or Brereton up top , I’d rather play Szmodics there and put Dack in Szmodics’ position. Dolan is completely ineffective there. Szmodics will make more intelligent runs in behind and Dack can either pick him out or arrive late in the box and offer a genuine threat. We won’t lose anything in ‘presence’ as Dolan has none there. ( he needs to be careful he’s not ruined by being played out of position) -
Ok. I’ll let it drop until the next time I see you randomly blame the company secretary for probably messing up the whole season (which is how this started). Then the cycle will start again.
-
I agree with all your rating except Mola. He has only figured for any significant period of time in 2 league games. The 3-0 loss at Burnley and the 4-1 loss at home to Preston. In one of his two cup appearances he also started and got shredded in the battering against Notts Forest. How bad would he have had to be to score a 2 or a 1 ? 😀

Again, so it’s the taxi drivers fault if he’s late if the desk forgets to give him the correct information for the job?
-
You admit you don’t know why there was a delay, but you’re happy to absolve blame from the person who has accepted responsibility based on no evidence to the contrary that he wasn’t even somewhat responsible.
-
At what point in my last few posts have I ever refuted that? Are you believing that everything was hunky dory at 10pm but the company secreteary decided to just go and do other things rather than sign the paperwork and start uploading?
-
We do agree. We both agree we don’t know what caused the delay for the O’Brien paperwork to be submitted late. You’ve clearly said that to me 4 posts above. All I’m saying is stop blaming Silvester and absolving Broughton when we clearly have no idea who is to blame. The only reason I’m critical of GB for January’s mess is because he basically said “blame me”.
-
Exactly. I don’t know. You don’t know. So stop talking as though it’s fact that it was Silvester’s fault that the paperwork was late, and that Broughton has no blame attached to his name, when we don’t know why there was a delay in uploading it. And before you just go around in a circle and say “it’s not Broughton’s job to upload the paperwork” , go back and read my taxi analogy.
-
Hypothetically, because Silvester needed further information from Waggot, Broughton and the Players in order to submit the paperwork and they took almost an hour to confirm that back to him? Otherwise why did we do nothing for an hour? Do you honestly think Silvester just put his feet up and dossed about playing Angry Birds when he should have been uploading paperwork?
