  1. Hedges would have chipped that.
  2. Yep. I’ve just been trying to Google who he is. Anyone know?
  3. 0-2 Pickering skinned. Good finish.
  4. It’s not been very ‘friendly’ so far.
  5. JDT is just another negative whinger. Been in Blackburn too long. Of course there is money to spend. We will bring in another 6 or7 yet. Of course we are saying we've no money. You dont tell teams what you've got to spend. God, I'm glad JDT isn't doing the negotiating. GB will have a list of 6 or 7 names strikers we are after. Some for when Raya is sold for over £40million and some for if not. I have every faith in GB as he has proven to be just what we need so far. His constant communication with the fans has been a breath of fresh air. Why is JDT even talking about the goals Dack scored. He was finished and Szmodics is better. JDT is just unrealistic wanting Venkys to spend even more money even though they spend £20million a year and never fail to sign a cheque. JDT needs to get real. Its not 1995 anymore. He probably thinks a teacake has currants in. He's just a shit Tony Mowbray. 🙄
  6. The offside one still worries me a bit. Is it still saying that this is a legitimate goal? Surely not. Otherwise linesman looking along the line now have VAR to help because they can't always get it right if a player is offside, but defenders with their back to the striker are meant to be able to work out if the striker is offside in order to decide whether to try to play the ball or not? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OSE1zer64y8
  7. On the match report on their website for Girona's 2-0 win against Sheff United it says:- "Girona's next friendly will take place on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers (16.00, Esport3, Movistar LaLiga, DAZN)." Plus they've beaten what looks a decent-strength Sheff United team there. https://www.gironafc.cat/en/news/victory-over-sheffield-united-2-0
  8. Weather will play a big part too.
  9. It didn’t happen. Cool story though.
  10. Judging by Kaminsky starting at Fleetwood and Pears starting this afternoon, it does indeed seem to point to TK being number one.
  11. But Swag ain't gonna do that is he. Remember we all paid more at Turf Moor because he would agree to a reciprocal agreement then.
  12. Am I reading this right? So because Leeds may charge Rovers fans over £40 for a ticket, for the return game Waggot is also going to charge Rovers fans over £40 per ticket?
  13. Take the sponsor off it and it's a nice Rovers-related T-Shirt. Bit meh as an away kit to me.
  14. For people who buy corporate tables for the season, do they all sit in the central comfy seats? Are they all put into the W09 / W10? Or do they get cheaper seat in W08 / W11 ? If they did that could skew your numbers.
  15. Took 12 days of silence before we got the minutes last time.
  16. Slowed down a bit now in this half.
  17. Regarding Batth, it will all come out in the wash.
  18. I think the personnel to some degree was irrelevant. It was the philosophy. It noticeably changed just before Pears came in.
  19. Swag not wanting to miss a free holiday in Austria?
  20. The change for me came over Christmas. Up until then we had been pissing around at the back but trying to play everything short and through midfield. This meant that when under pressure we would still try intricate little balls which kept costing us. At Burnley they were too good for us to play through them, and yet we continued even at 3-0 down. The only chance we had in their box actually came from one of the only long balls where we picked up the second ball and broke. It was the refusal to do anything else but short little balls, even in suicidal positions, that was pissing me off with JDT. Then suddenly against Boro in December, during the first half Buckley was getting on the ball and pinging it long into the channels for the wide players to run after, which really got us on the front foot. We hadn't seen that all season. When we were under pressure players were suddenly clearing their lines instead of tippy tippy stuff. It's like there had been a group meeting and a change in instruction to allow more direct balls if required. It didn't actually improve results, although it did cut out the numb goals we were conceding (Rotherham away aside). But I felt it was a definite improvement in how I wanted us to play, and that a proper couple of strikers may have been effective.
  21. I’m surprised Aussies are still 2/1 to win this.
  22. He probably told someone to back Wigan for the League One title when he found out Mowbray's starting line-up at Charlton.
  23. That and the fixtures being released. Bumper day. Swag's treating himself to cockles and caviar this afternoon.
  24. Well the opening game isn't on the Friday or Sunday at least. Let's just hope it doesn't end up at 8pm on Saturday or something ridiculous.
