  1. We got exactly what we deserved. We were second best both halves.
  2. Luton have looked very comfortable against Watford here. I keep expecting them to stutter but they keep on picking up the points.
  3. Should have gone by barge after all.
  4. Blackpool have been woeful at Preston so far. Preston just a yard quicker and better on the ball.
  5. No strolling around passing it pointlessly sideways thinking “we are in the top 6, we’re better than these” today Rovers. Can we have that FA Cup underdog application from the first whistle please.
  6. Plus I’m potentially going to Huddersfield and Preston this month. Is it a big surprise I also don’t want to go to Birmingham?
  7. And as I keep saying, Norwich, Coventry and Luton are equally as important to our league position so if the reason is because it is to our benefit why are we giving those teams as many as they can sell.
  8. The high in the FA Cup was beating Leicester, and comprehensively outplaying them for 60 minutes. Eventually losing to a side we had beaten only 2 weeks earlier, in the manner that we did, left me feeling flat to be honest. I found the Rovers video a little cringy showing all the fans travelling to Brammall Lane like it was a special day out. That's what I would expect Grimsby to do for their game at Brighton. I enjoyed the cup run, but it won't stick long in the memory like the 2 previous semi-finals did. Getting in the play-offs after 46 games would be a huge high. But for those who haven't experienced it, losing in the play-offs balances it out as one of the biggest lows you can get. That feeling that the past 46 games have been irrelevant, next season will be the same again and having the summer to stew on it before we play again is a real nasty feeling.
  9. No they didn't. They gave all Premier League for the last couple of years 2200 tickets, and have given all clubs this year 2200 tickets. Home fans have been in the other half of that stand for the last few years. Burnley treated Rovers no differently than they have every Championship or Premier League club in recent times. I don't think it's the right decision. I'm enjoying the meltdown, but I don't think it's particularly right or fair.
  10. No I'm not forgetting hence why I put on this seasons form. edit- just realised that you count one of those years when Pears dropped us out of the as this season, when he saved two 1-on-1's.
  11. And Pears may well save the Birmingham and Middlesboro goals at Ewood. Kaminsky also threw one in against Rotherham. It's swings and roundabouts on this seasons form. At the moment I wouldn't want to 'rock the boat' when I don't see it as necessarily and upgrade in what we will have on the pitch. But it's a tough call, and if he did put TK back in I wouldn't complain.
  12. From the World Cup break onwards there were a few goals where you felt Kaminsky could have done better. His form wasn't top notch up to the injury. Pears has surprised us all, and there are very few, if any, instances I can think of where I have thought “Kaminsky would have done better there”. Therefore it is counter productive to the whole squads mentality if you come in and do a better job than the previous incumbent on form, and yet are then dropped. Pears remains number one for me.
  13. Yeah I’ve clocked a few. Interesting to see where they are Saturday. They shouldn’t be constantly tweeting during the game.
  14. @roversfan99has already beat me to it, but maybe the cost of living crisis is meaning people have to pick and choose what games they go to rather than doing every game like some people seem to think they can. And therefore why wouldn’t they choose an Fa Cup quarter final instead of Birmingham away again for the second time this year.
  15. Presuming that you leave from Blackburn lock you would be better coming off at Bordesley on the Digbeth Branch Canal for St Andrews. If you have a maximum speed of 5mph, and optimistically presuming every lock will take you 5 minutes, it takes you almost 39h to do the 147.5miles. However your mpg will be through the roof !! 0m 0h 0m Start from Leeds and Liverpool canal at 'Blackburn Lk (54)' 20.1m 6h 41m After 20.4 Miles and 34 locks , turn at the junction at 'Junct. Leigh Br.' onto Leigh Br (Bridgewater) 36.5m 10h 8m After 16.4 Miles and 2 locks , turn at the junction at 'Water Meeting J. B'water' onto Bridgewater canal 56.5m 14h 8m After 20 Miles, turn at the junction at 'Preston Brook J. T & M' onto Trent and Mersey canal 122.1m 32h 10m After 65.6 Miles and 59 locks , turn at the junction at 'Fradley J. Coventry' onto Coventry canal 132.9m 34h 20m After 10.8 Miles, turn at the junction at 'Fazeley J. B & F' onto Bham and Fazeley canal 144.5m 37h 49m After 11.6 Miles and 14 locks , turn at the junction at 'Salford J. Saltley' onto Saltley Br (BCN) 147.5m 38h 50m After 3 Miles and 5 locks , arrive at 'Bordesley J. Saltley' on Digbeth Br (G U)
  16. I rememer it being said that the 'away club' has to pay for the damage caused by their own supporters, but don't know if that is a urban myth.
  17. Stanley losing again. They’ve done well to survive 4 seasons in league one, but I can’t see them stopping up this time.
  18. My point being, for the UTC crowd viewing and commenting on this, is that if we genuinely are reducing your allocation because we believe it gives us an advantage on the pitch then we should be doing it to all clubs we play. But we aren’t. Personally I have no idea and think you should have at least all the top tier (3k) What I do know is someone suggested to me after the game was rearranged, but long before the announcement was made, that it was going to be low. This was because we have a home game a few days later, and there was concern regarding the state that the toilets, tvs etc would be left in at Ewood after previous visits. I suppose this leaves half of the BBE lower and all the upper undamaged for Luton. That was from ‘a friend of a friend who works at the club’. I took it as nonsense at the time and still think it probably is, but here we are.
  19. Therefore we should do it for all the other clubs we play between now and the end of the season, especially Norwich, Coventry and Luton. If we did get in the play offs, we should give the away fans only 2000 then as well.
  20. https://wiganathletic.com/news/2023/march/24/an-open-letter-from-chairman-talal-al-hammad/ “It’s all sorted now. Yes I know I said that before but I mean it now” Hardly sets fans minds at rest
  21. Until about 15 my dad took me in the Enclosure. If the current JW BE lower was what used to be the enclosure, what was the JW DE lower known as? I don’t know anyone that ever went in there.
  22. I've only just noticed that. I presume one price grid was for before the end of the season, and the other grid was for the rest of the summer. There will obviously be a claim your seat deadline before they allow move-arounds, but it makes no sense to hike the prices up higher in June or July as those are the people who are undecided who need persuading. Happy they've brought them down a bit. The only gripe I have is not making the Riverside a more entry-level price point.
  23. Well it was an enjoyable bit of nonsense in the middle of this 2 week drought of proper football.
