I thought that too when looking at the list, but at least one in Derby seems pretty similar to us: "Debts spiralled north of £180 million, although two-thirds of that was to former owner Morris. Almost £30 million was owed to the tax man, with a further £20 million owed to US investment firm MSD Holdings via various loans secured against the stadium. Another £10 million was outstanding to football creditors." https://theathletic.com/3397152/2022/07/03/derby-county-saved-clowes/ I don't know the ins and outs of how Derby then dealt with situation, even after skim reading the article. Did Morris end up writing off a lot of his debt? I can see the new owners agreed to pay 25p on every £1 owed to unsecured creditors. There's generally some way out of these financial messes if people put their minds to it.

I'll be honest, only just got them as ESPN went down for me. But after 2 mins your plan sounds sensible. -

WBA commentators = "Worst defensive performance we've seen all season." -
See my posts above. Don't get me wrong, I laughed....hard. But trying to look neutrally, still don't think it's a wrong/bad decision. Var looked at replay about 10 times, and I think the theatrical way Trafford went down worked against you. Var/viewers aren't stupid. You can tell when a player has been 'taken out' and when one has just flung themselves to the floor to try and buy one. I'm actually very surprised how many people/pundits have a completely opposite opinion to me. Suppose we all see things differently. Or maybe it's just my unconscious bias. 🤷🏻♂️

Ah, SC, please don't pop in the board without giving us your opinion on the goal/potential foul in the Burnley thread. What's your non-tinted glasses view?

Tbf most teams don't end up rock bottom of the form table and with most amount of goals conceded in the league. I'd hazard a guess only us and Rotherham have done it this season. -

S. Wharton getting illegally manhandled for the goal in that replay. Not even subtle. -

Think I might watch the snooker. -
Weird isn't it. Football Focus had it down as a definite foul too (Ellen White, Stephen Warnock). They stopped protecting keepers like that years ago. If you go into the keeper, yes, a sneeze is a foul. But if the keeper goes into you (which happened here imo) they give much more leeway nowadays. It's a 50/50 call at best for me. But many are calling it a stonewall foul. Football opinions are odd.

Understatement that. It was an embarrassing dive with arms flailing in the air (nowhere near the ball). I genuinely wouldn't be complaining if that was us, I'd be berating Leo/Pears for being useless. So just a standard match day really.

Moran asleep at throw in. Pickering absolutely bossed. Hyam at fault in the box. You're not going to get away with 3 errors at once. -

Certainly felt like a bunch of players that had lost trust in the process and each other today. If they don't bounce back in the next few games, I really fear we're going to be telling a TM death spiral to hold our beer. -

Loads of that wasn't there. Picked up by the Yorkshire commentators too. Said the body language was awful all over the pitch. Grim. -

Something iffy with Szmodics. Looks a shell of a player out there. Not having that can be just because of fatigue. -

They look absolutely brilliant though. Like they'd give Leicester a real challenge. How on earth do we make teams look this good. It's shameful. -

Errr, does Ennis not know how to head the ball. That was perfect height. And he tries to get his foot up there. -

Huddersfield commentator: "Ennis......quite easily nudged off the ball this half." Neutral's view of things. -
Can you elaborate? I saw the club banned flags when Everton came. Due to their PL protest? I'm a bit lost with your rage over it. Am I missing something?
-
Can't argue with any of that. Seems a very fair assessment. I like VK a lot as a person. I'm not convinced as a manager yet. Maybe lucky for you my judgements are often wrong.

Ah, you're smarting from some barbs on here as well as the season results. Makes sense. You have faith in VK's style and plan? Merry Christmas too.

Fair enough, hadn't considered off field issues, and was taking it at face value. I've had a crap week though, and seeing Markanday and Ennis on the teamsheet a few pages back has sucked all the Xmas cheer out of me. And I've really rooted for Markanday. Thought he could be a Championship Salah. 😂😂 -

Am I the only one throwing my toys out the pram about Szmodics? If the fans have put all this effort into getting a good crowd in the stadium, seems a bit of a gut punch to then not let them see The Championship top scorer in action. Particularly for such a poxy reason. Couldn't care less about the sports science. Rest him the next 2 games if need be. You've got 'new faces' here, and the idea is to entice them back. I'm in a full on strop about it. Particularly when you have people like Shearer ridiculing game fatigue recently. Edit for reference:
