Oh I can. At best, it is the classic vacuum. A pattern of mind bogglingly, obviously self destructive decision making, delivered in complete silence. At worst, there are/were unknown, let's say fishy explanations. Key people pursued ends other than the proper purpose of any football club i.e. to win matches... The reaction of fans is entirely normal and to be expected.

Been a fan for over 40 years. Port Vale, Anfield and Cardiff my biggest highs. Gay Meadow and Selhurst Park my lows. Still engulfed by the sense of burning injustice. Yes, I do know need to move on but I am "stuck". I guess I would be Michael Douglas in a Rovers version of Falling Down! I took the decision not to renew my season ticket in a powerless sense of having to make some kind of personal statement. Because of the lies and secrecy, mine is only a partial analysis. It is difficult to know the right thing to do. I know I am watching my kids' cultural inheritance being trashed, I am only too mindful of the post 1960 bitterness from "sad old men" that met my undying loyalty to Tony Field and co in the early 70's.How I understand them now! The only solution is some kind of reconciliation process, which can only start with an apology from Venky's, plus an honest description of their plan going forward. Fat chance of that!
