  1. Not one honest attempt in 13 years.. A charade!
  2. F*** Hell..Talk about "start again" syndrome! Do they really think we are all too thick to see that there is a pattern of managed failure?
  3. I guess the only possible plus would be the public airing of specific, pointed questions. Very unlikely that the answers will be particularly illuminating!
  4. I was there. I couldn't get a ticket with our own fans. Staff from one of our Liverpool services lent me two season tickets, so we were on the side -where Ripley crossed for Shearer. I wore a Rovers shirt -with a Liverpool cap! There were several other Rovers fans in the same area. I can clearly remember scouse voices saying, "You're gonna do it.!" Then Redknapp's goal... At the end, I know I teared up, as I watched at all my fellow Rovers fans celebrating behind the goal. I was thinking "This is for Bristol '81 and Palace '89. But, in truth, it was like being in limbo. I was stuck in the wrong part of the ground , aching to be with the Rovers contingent behind the goal...
  5. He has clearly headed too many balls, if he thinks any of us believe a single word he says!
  6. And don't forget "Be careful what you wish for!"
  7. Yeah, JB is right about past attempts, but I wouldn't dismiss it. After all, it looks like the Modi government is on their (adjourned) case these days
  8. Judging by recent reports in the press, he is obviously more suited to the Premiership!
  9. Jason Lowe played 173. I had to look (from behind the settee)
  10. The thing is..everybody and his dog knew that at the time...See Dave Whelan's comments about his time at Wigan and comments coming out of Bolton. This appointment is second only to the Kean one in terms of neglect/seemingly deliberate sabotage.
  11. "On the chin"? You are too polite. More like up the *****! I am sick and weary of these Indian clubkillers!
  12. The awful thought that haunts me is that this is exactly their agenda... "Don't blame us. The attendances were too low to survive!"
  13. Yeah. Never mind the analysis, buy a plastic snake!
  14. Hmm To quote Gilbert O'Sullivan, "We will!"
  15. I think the main issue here is people not wanting to disrupt the players, while they still have a chance. And-despite my own belief that Venky's out is all that matters-I think that position is understandable. The trouble is that Eustace's own behaviour has itself diverted some of the anger. I don't think Swag et al deserve much credit for their feeble propaganda attempts. That pathetic club statement was hardly Goebbels, after all! We all know that there is no point in trying to organise a matchday protest, while the players need support. As soon as it starts to look hopeless, matchday protests will have a bit more buy-in...Then, it will require proper, hearts and minds leadership., especially as the fanbase remains split with much of it supine...
  16. Why, this is Hell. Nor am I out of it... BURN!
  17. Same with Raya-only more so... That's what happens when shit, disengaged owners ship out highly experienced football business people and replace them with incompetents and spivs., who don't give a toss about the club...
  18. Articulate, passionate Rovers fan with access to media. Anti -current regime. Good analysis of problems around unfit football ownership...That's a pretty good start. Now compare that to the shite spouted by Jim White, football luvvies and ex Rovers players.
  19. I think it is becoming clear that Eustace had become an irritation....
