  1. Kids on loan is no way to do it...unless we have some solid, physical experience and shithousery to go with them...
  2. Hope he is going for the best fee we can get...He is obviously not going to sign...and we are obviously not going up...so cash in for me...
  3. There were a few TV interviews and especially radio, where he did seem sullen, sulky and borderline aggressive. We all remarked on this demeanour in our family. We thought he thought he was a gonner. I also think he came across as bitter. If he knew they were searching for a replacement, that would explain it....but to leave him in post -with that knowledge- is poor line management.... FOV
  4. The Smithereens have a song called William Wilson (Sunday name!)
  5. When decisions sound so counter-intuitive, you can't help feeling there is something else, a missing piece that explains (but may not justify) the decision...e.g. sacking one of the most experienced managers in the country/replacing him with a novice.. Now we are said to be paying substantial fees plus wages to develop players for other clubs, blocking the pathways for our own...instead of sorting out contracts for our assets....
  6. Well, based on one match, I grant you, our Rovers TV experience has been different class to last years stop /start/freeze ifollow frustration fest...
  7. I was really surprised to read that was his proper name because I always thought he was Northern Irish Protestant... When I was a lad, boys called "Neil" often had the initial C....in the same way as ones called Louis had the initial A. All we need now is to find that Iggy Pop's real name is Ignatius! On a similar note, the great Don Martin was christened "Donnon", I seem to remember.... Oh, the trivia I retain!
  8. Car never gets serviced either...employed a shit driver too. On the road....to hell....
  9. That is exactly how I saw it, Parson. My lads thought I was over critical of Brereton, but Bambi sums it up nicely! The most worrying thing is that TM was "done" by a lower league manager's tactical switch...and as for the sideways backwards stuff, we've seen it all before. It bodes ill.
  10. Lol. You put me in mind of a world weary crown court judge on reading the court report for a serial sex offender, written by Mary Poppins.. Sigh.."Send him down.."
  11. Yet so much of this message board has the ingredients. Savage Indignation-tick....Ridicule-tick...
  12. But I wouldn't dream of calling you juvenile...I was applauding your classical reference...
  13. But the season starts in two days...What about preparation? Our opponents will have been preparing so.....
  14. What a f****ng joke of a club...and I am still tempted to get a season ticket!
  15. Agreed 100%. Resisting an internal rhyme is like walking past a football and... not kicking it...
