  1. Just on a side note, watching City vs Swindon in the cup; 2nd goal coming from fannying about with it at the back, then dispossessed leading to a goal. Having seen the highlights from every championship goal this season, it's amazing how many times this happens. Such a ridiculous was to concede a goal. Swansea being at the forefront of this, architects of their own downfall. So glad we don't play in this bs style anymore
  2. Very frustrating. Scabbed late goals recently to win games..except the one we would have wanted them too, against bournemouth!
  3. I find it amazing that the bottom 3 aren't cut adrift. Watford have lost 6 on the bounce or something otherwise the relegation places would be done already. Looking like 3 from 4 as it is and newcastle will surely spend..
  4. Same with wba fans. They beat us so comfortably at Ewood earlier in the season, despite the scoreline it was 2-1 going on 4-1. Must be looking at the table and seeing themselves 4 points behind us thinking wtf happened?!
  5. Really excellent victory. In some ways these kind of 3 points are more satisfying then blowing teams away 4-0. We missed a few chances, conceded a really poor and unlucky goal-all the hallmarks for a classic championship upset. Instead we stuck at and got the 3 points. Great to see. Looking forward to Sunday now! Huddersfield play the day after us and also played boxing day, so we should he fresher.
  6. Bit of a shame that Boro managed to nick a winner after conceding an injury time equalizer themselves. They're looking in threatening form
  7. Draw would be the best result for us here surely?
  8. In the various Rovers Facebook pages I saw a figure of 2600ish as of start of the week. I've seen other figures of 2300-2800 banded about so I guess must be relatively close
  9. I don't always agree with everything you write (and having seen your posts on the politics page I defo don't agree with you there!), but you are absolutely spot on here. It's a slap in the face for all of us who do the right thing, have been vax/booster, wear masks etc. I won't say any more as I don't want another thread to be dominated by covid.
  10. Good old championship. Utterly crazy division. That's no win in 10 combined now for the top 2 teams in the league. Win on boxing day vs Hull and potentially we go joint top!
  11. Hold on, isn't Dolan the one actually with covid (ie can't be helped). It's the unvaccinated close contacts (can be helped) who you deserve your scorn?
  12. I thought that the ticket prices for Barnsley being cat C/£20 meant that Waggot had finally got the message (yes I realise it is technically a mid week game, but it is during the Christmas festive period so I thought they'd make it a Cat B on that excuse).. But no ol' Swag comes up with another special for Huddersfield. New years day, Rovers going well, decent away support and bang ruins all of that with Cat A prices. Ffs
  13. Potential for a good do at Hull. Boxing day, big allocation, tickets look like they are £21ish on their website, team is playing well..
  14. You're missing the point. We weren't the ones wanking on about attendances all the time. We said to them that if the situation was reversed you'd do the same.. They never believed us, not superior Burnley...now look at them. Home games look half empty, taking the reduced allocation at every away day and not selling out..
  15. Exactly this. I remember them going on and on and on about it when our away support dropped in the late 2000s time. 'We'll never be like you, Burnley is a football town'.. I always said to the dingles that if they maintain their position in the prem for a while and the novelty wears off, they'll be the same if not worse. Now look at them. Not to mention away tickets are capped at 30 quid. Alot of ours were 35-50 quid and that was 15 Yeats ago!
  16. They have scabbed a fair amount of late goals already this season the basterds
  17. Huge game today. When was the last time we actually beat a team above us/around the playoffs in the league? Maybe Brentford 1-0 at home a couple years back? Such an opportunity to deliver a statement of intent by winning the game, rather then shutting up and trying to nick a draw. Come on Rovers!
  18. I don't remember seeing your bets against peterborough in that match thread? I'd have thought you'd made a packet in that game. Rovers to win with Diaz to score or similar?
  19. On another note Ainsworth's Wycombe have just thumped top of the table and division form side plymouth 3 nil away from home..
  20. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/blackburn-rovers-open-transfer-talks-over-attacker-targeted-by-middlesbrough/ Hedges linked again this morning.
  21. Really annoyed me how a prem club didn't come in for him in the summer..
  22. I honestly think that we should be building the team around Rothwell. Had the potential to be that good. Has a goal and 3 assists from his last 4 full games as well as other opportunities created. Give the guy what he bloody wants!
  23. I would be delighted with Ainsworth. For alot of people it's the passion and enthusiasm he would bring. After 4 years of dreary, repetitive, double speak press conferences where TM contradicts himself numerous times and generally just talks shite, not to mention the tactics and selections, people just want a plain talker who doesn't over complicated things. Ainsworth fits that bill perfectly!
  24. Agreed Chaddy. The change was very noticeable on the Facebook pages. There are alot of 'in Tony we trust' clowns on there, but they were very quiet after the qpr game. Much more so then after Cov, because that was 'played well', 'we were unlucky', 'cov are 4th only expected a point' etc. Get him gone NOW
