  1. Every time Arse and Spurs go away from home, i can see them easily getting beat. Spurs have more away games then home and i think a big advantage to us is that we dont have to play any of the teams around us (arse, bolton, wh& spurs) apart from wigan and can watch the other teams take points of each other.
  2. No, why the hell would i wana study my own language when i can already do it to a good enough standard. Correcting spelling mistakes is also about as pathetic as you can get. Basically it means you havent got a decent response about what was said.
  3. Can do without the smartarse comments, esp when i got 2A's and a C at a-level and im currently suding at university. Where did i say that the club MUST implement the £12 rule? I gave a reason for the decrease in the crowds over a long period of time. Imo its the greed of players with their overtly inflated wages which means the clubs can no longer charge those kinda prices but must keep on rising them year on year above inflation. You must also consider our future support in terms of kids and what a full house and great atmposhere can do to inspire the players. However, I can quite comfortable realise why the club cant afford to do this esp when the bigger teams bring 3-7k at £32. Anyway after correcting smartarse nog, just thought id say that the crowd was pretty decent y'day. 22k when its a sat evening game on sky. Perhaps a 3pm game might have seen 24k +. Think Gav's bet is gona be made with wigans remaining fix, their average is only gona come down.
  4. I think it is more the long term price increases. As has been mentioned many times before, wages have increased by roughly 50% since 1990, whereas Ewood tickets have gone up from like £5 (i dont know the actual amount, just guessing) to around £28 (averaging out the 3 cat). So say we apply the wage increase to Rovers home matches this season and tickets were £12 for adults and £5 for kids, our average crowd would be much close 30k imo
  5. Well Wigan's 'garanteed sell out' turned into a very disappointing crowd of 23,574. With the rest of Wigan's games being home games that will only bring their average crowd i still dont think that Gav's bet is lost!
  6. No thanks to Dunny unless its a seriously reduced price. Too many injures im afraid. What did Zura do in midweek?
  7. Dont know why people are saying this rights off our champs league hopes. Still some 30 points left and we have the easiest run in. Furthermore, we are the only team not to have to play any of the teams around us bar City, so we can sit back and watch the others take points of each other.
  8. I travelled down to London today, and boy was it worth it! It was a terrific peformance, how many times will a team go away from home to the 4th place team in the league and quite frankly dominate. We had the better chances and Robinson had to make more saves than Brad. Obviously the ref didnt help, the 1st 2 goals shouldnt have counted and we shuda had a pen, but i guess sh!t happens sometimes. I cant work out certain posters haveing a go at individual players. Of course, there were stand out peformers but for anyone to say that Gray was crap, or Emerton useless, or Savage rubbish doesnt have a clue about footie and was obv nowhere nr WHL.Bellamy and Pongolle worked well up front together and the midfield was creative but combative at the same time. They ran their socks off and it was a shame a lapse in concentration let them in for a third time. No faults to Gray, you cant help it if your physically not fast enough to catch the guy up, Lennon would outrun Maurice Green ffs! Funnyly enough this has made me more confident of achieving a champs league place. Not saying we have it nailed on, but look at the fixture list, we gota chance for sure. Plenty of home games, still have to travel to Pompey, Blues, Sunderland and Charlton all very winnable games. Finally im very proud to be a Rover. Performances like these are good in the long run, cos it shows we have the capability to do it. Good support from our lot also, id say 1,200 on a sun tv kick off when its £31 a ticket was a reasonable effort. Keep the faith!
  9. Got my ticket today, anybody know how many we have sold? I know it a sun sky game and its £31, but was hoping we could sell out due the small allocation. Im going for a entertaining 1-1 draw with a certain Mr Savage on the score sheet for us.
  10. Ive got us down as final position of 6th and a Uefa cup spot. Im happy with anything above 10th place, then again for the first 7 away games i went to this season i failed to see rovers score or pick up a point and carried on going, so i guess im one of those easily satisfied Rovers fans Btw, whats all this about Spurs being some sort of make or break game. Now i dont think were gona finish 4th anyway, but if we loose, so what there are still plenty of games to go. Spurs still have to go to west ham, chels, arse and Everton and have games against the teams battling for points. Its very much up for grabs and if we loose at spurs but win the next 2 home games we will still be very much in the shake up!
  11. I prefer the version, Who's that team we call the Rovers, whos that team we all adore, we're the boys in blu and white and we're fuking dynamite, Steve Cotterill's wife is a whore! I also think that chelsea sing a long winded version of the song.
  12. Bentley has got 2 goals for the eng u21's so far tonight, as they lead 3-0! Good news
  13. Boro and Chels might both be moved, as the boro game is after their uefa cup match and chels is the same weekend as fa cup semi i believe. Therefore this could quite easily be the last sat 3pm kick off and means 1 in the whole 2006 part of the campaign
  14. Firstly, i would like to say that its nonsence the amount of drummers we have. You only need 1 or at most 2, like at pompey or Spurs. However, i think that they can do a job. If they can be encouraged to only drum when the crowd is quiet and make sure it is in rythm. If there is a chant going, then there is no reason to bang over it with a out of tune drum! However i also think that some people in the bbe have got lazy and just wanna let the drum do the work for them. Some have got too used to the drummers. Something has to change anyway!
  15. Well its not gonna be a sell out, i can tell you that much. Just rang up to book 5 tickets but the woman on the phone wouldn't tell me how many we'd sold so far but there's plenty left. Only limited in BB end though, so thats promising Come on Rovers 385951[/snapback] To be fair, its pretty much always limited in bbe lower so that doesnt really tell us much. Arse wont bring that many, so a crowd of around 22k?
  16. Must say i was slightly supprised and disappointed at last nights crowd. I thought Sunderland might have brought more and people would have kept their tickets from the original match. Unfortunatly cat A prices on a wed night against the bottom placed team has backfired on us. Gav is struggling now, really depends on Wigans remaining gates, they have a lot of potential small crowds, pompey, west ham, b'ham, villa etc. I dont think we will have much over 22k or arse, as they dont have great away support and its a cat A+ match which affects our crowd!
  17. I still think that Gav's bet can be pulled out of the bag with a coupla high crowds at the end of the season. Liverpool is a sat 3pm kick off and not on tv so should be close to a 30k crowd and Man city on the final day should also be close to 30k effort which might push us over. The Chelsea match will also have a decent crowd due to large support of celebrating chels fans and us perhaps chasing europe! It aint over yet!
  18. 2-0 Rovers. This is my second trip for this game so hopefully it will happy one! Goals from Bently and Gray! 23,012
  19. Prefer blues to win tonight to make sure that we can overtake west ham when we play on wed. Dont care if they go down or not, Rovers position is more important.
  20. Hopefully a big travelling support from Sunderland to help boost the average crowd. How many did we give them, 5,500? Heard they had sold 4k for the 28th clash This game is really important for us. A victory and all of a sudden we are in 6th place before the fa cup break and everyone is happy again. Loose, and our season is over. Or am i being a little dramatic?
  21. Right, Ive got one of the £27 tickets and im on row A. Thats not right at the front is it? Im hoping it might be reverse order or something. Can anybody help out to where id be sitting? Cheers
  22. You live by the sword, you die by the sword. Thats all im gona say on the matter.
  23. Does this sum it up nicely? 'Who the **** are man untied, who the **** are man united , who the **** are man united, when the blues go marching on on on!'
