  1. My girlfriends brother was on the waiting list for years and he's been offered a season ticket for the first time this season. Can't afford it though now.
  2. Maybe they were confused with Jenny McCarthy - who didn't turn up for training I'm told.
  3. If thats supposed to be like Wheres Wally its rubbish! I spotted him straight away
  4. Didn't he do the same at Porto? If he doesn't want to be here - get rid while we can get a decent price for him.
  5. Now that would be a good bit of Business. I can't see them going for McCarthy and Torres though.
  6. I thought Duggary was worried that he was going to be a replacement for Shearer rather than to play with him. I remember speaking to Ronnie Clayton a few years ago and he seemed to think Kenny left because Jack didn't think the squad needed strengthening.
  7. Maybe we should put in a 6m bid for Gerrard!
  8. I thought his debut was against Southampton - and he scored a header to open the scoring at Ewood in a 2-1 win? EDIT - Bohinen - Debut to Remember
  9. That's crazy talk! 38 goals in 77 starts for the club proves you well and truly wrong. Didn't they turn down 18m in January? They'll get at least 7m for him this summer too! 2.5 million wasted obviously
  10. Who scored only 16 goals in his first season in England in all competitions. 23 goals in all competitions in his first season is a fantastic achievement. Well done Benni!
  11. Maybe United could offer 40m for Heskey now it looks like Wigan are going down
  12. Ex-Rovers - Where are they now? Interesting article about the players from the last time Rovers met Chelsea in the FA cup. Chelsea's keeper that day was none other than our current coach Eddie N (I'm not even attempting to spell it )
  13. Mark Lawrensons quite ridiculous prediction for this weekends game. Nice one Lawro, they were really unfortunate against us weren't they
  14. I agree. But that's not stopped McLaren picking players in the wrong position before.
  15. SWP has been ruined by Jose IMO. He was sensational in his last season at City - but as with Duff - he isn't the player he was.
  16. Maybe my blue and white tinted spectacles - but it's Bentley for me. Lennon doesn't score many, and his crossing is abysmal. Fantastic speed and running at the defender - just needs to learn how to cross. Bentley hasn't got the lightning speed, but has the skill to get half a yard on his man, and is a fantastic crosser. What isn't in question is that Bentley should certainly be in the squad above SWP IMO.
  17. City took the kick off in the last match too. Didn't have a bet on it though - gonna start investing I think. West Ham took the kick off on Saturday - but sods law if I actually bet on it we'll take kick off! Still over time I think you'll make a decent profit.
  18. Wouldn't it be great if either of them scored the first goal at the new Wembley though.
  19. Considering the Axe is just under 2 feet tall - I think he does ok
  20. In 2007 our domestic form is: Played 14 Won 9 Drawn 1 Lost 4 Goals For 25 Goals Against 11 Last 5 Domestic Games: Won 4 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Goals For 8 Goals Against 1 Who thought we'd be in relegation trouble? Now if next season we can just start playing before Christmas we'll be challenging for the title
  21. Wasn't his strong point - so suppose he was bound to score a header against us this season
  22. I remember Dunn being interviewed about the game (I think it was Dunn). When Short scored the opener - he was running round shouting "That's the first goal I've scored in 5 years" - soon after, when he set up the Davis own goal, he was running round shouting "That's the second goal I've scored in 5 years" Classic!
  23. It is - but I think they'll lose him for nothing at the end of the season. Hopefully we'll get a few more years out of Benni, and Doyle would command a half decent fee if sold too.
  24. Drogba 24m - 18 Goals Ronaldo 12.24m - 16 Goals McCarthy 2.5m - 12 Goals Yakubu 7.5m - 12 Goals Van Persie 2.75m - 11 Goals Doyle 80k - 10 Goals Henry 10.5m - 10 Goals Johnson 8.6m - 10 Goals Kanu Free - 10 Goals Lampard 11m - 10 Goals Martins 10m - 10 Goals Rooney 20m - 10 Goals Only 12 players have hit double figures so far - and as you can see you usually have to pay big money for those goals. Only 3 of the 12 cost below 7.5m. Doyle is probably the stand out buy - but he was unproven at this level - whereas we signed a Champions League winner in McCarthy for 2.5m. Good work Sparky!
