  1. --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Jan 17 2007, 14:31 ) 479839[/snapback] Boltons official website reports Allardyce as saying Dunns turned them down for Rovers They also have a poll for the best game to take place at the Reebok. Strangely my favourite, back in the promotion season isn't on the short-list. I remember a certain Mr Dunn scoring that day
  2. I reckon we put him in a sportsbra until Hughes training regime gets him in shape then
  3. I'll be very happy when its all completed. I felt sick reading the headline about "Dunn Deal is Bolt from the Blue" over someones shoulder on the bus this morning. Excellent work from Rovers - bring back Dunn and ###### of Bolton in the process! Happy Days
  4. Suppose he does sign for us. How long will it be till we see him in a Rovers shirt? I'd say at least a month - Hughes will want to get him fit first. He's not played for Big Club for 3 months I see.
  5. No-one on here knows for sure what price we're paying for Dunn. I'd imagine it would be performance based - I don't think BFS will have offered stupid money.
  6. God you'll look stupid if he ends up at the Breezeblock now!
  7. I know there is a split on here - with some people wanting him back and some hating the idea. I personally was all for the idea. If he does go to Bolton - then how does it make us look? We come out one day saying we would be interested in bringing a Blackburn fan to Blackburn - and he goes to Bolton. Even if never actually had the choice to rejoin us - Bolton fans are still going to say he turned down his home-town club for them.
  8. That must be the same Garth Scates that was on our books?
  9. I can. Birmingham want to get as much money for him as they can - and we want to pay the fair price. I'd rather us play hard-bull than let Big Club screw us over.
  10. My favourite three players were Dunn, Duff and Jansen when we came up. Now it finally looked like we were getting one back, the local boy, and he seems to be off to Bolton - anywhere but Bolton!!!
  11. I really hope he doesn't sign for Bolton - would be another kick in the teeth.
  12. I hope he comes back and Hughes gives him a kick up the arse. He's 27 now - about time he grew up.
  13. I'm all for us signing Dunn. 1) If he's ever going to recapture the form he showed when he was younger its with Rovers 2) It really isn't a "big risk" at the price and the wages he'll have to accept 3) Local Lad - he WILL add people to the gate 4) We're very short of cover in Midfield 5) He WANTS to play for Rovers. This isn't about Money like 99.9% of the players we could go for. 6) He's got the ability to change a game - very few of our players have this 7) We can't afford to buy the best anymore - so taking a chance on someone who's lost his way is all we can do 8) Hughes knows what he's doing - and if he gets him as fit as the rest of the lads and he gets a bit of luck with injuries - we'll be laughing at Brum again!
  14. I can't help but feel Birmingham will be a pain with this one. I think he'll come at the end of January after a long and drawn out negotiation.
  15. I was watching Skysports news last night - and Tony Gale was doing the game. He was talking about Lucas - and his opinion was his best position was right-back. Gale then went on to make a bit of an idiot of himself. "I remember when Ray Harford signed Neill and he was telling me what a great player he was going to be" He sounded like my Nan making up a story.
  16. I've always thought that! He should score more with his shooting.
  17. The good thing about his sending off against Spurs is that he should pretty fresh tonight even at 36! He should get the time on the ball to show what he can do.
