  1. I don’t know what I’m more fuming about, the late and very obvious sucker punch (it’s never the other way round with Rovers is it), them beating us YET again or our continued appalling set pieces. Are we ‘creating value’ by passing them short every single time too? They do not, and will not ever work. Sort it out, JDT, it’s embarrassingly poor.
  2. Fuck sake - I knew that was coming. Compare our absolutely shocking set pieces ALL game with theirs and there is the difference. It’s like men vs boys when they do the novel thing, of actually crossing a ball (and yes I know the goal came from the second ball in). Absolutely fuming. And as I say, it was so bloody obvious it was gonna happen.
  3. As I just told you. Hahaha get in!!!! Always happy to eat my words. COYB!!!
  4. Indeed. Get our noses in front and we look like we can score 2/3+. Go behind and we consistently look like we could play until midnight and not score. Let’s hope tonight is different, but like you, I carry little hope.
  5. Yep, we’ve looked like a pub team since they’ve scored. Can’t get out of our own third! Our Ewood form is becoming increasingly concerning. Surely we can’t be far off having lost as many this season at home versus the whole of 22-23?! I make this 5 already if we go onto lose this, and we’re not even halfway into November.
  6. Why do we struggle so badly to raise our game against this lot? First goal always so important with us - especially at Ewood. Feels like game over already but I sincerely hope I’m wrong.
  7. I called him out on that at the time given he’d played 20(ish) games for PSG last season! ‘Must try harder’ would be the report card for that particular WUM!
  8. Surely we'd be better off moving Brittain to LB and bringing in Trav to RB (where he came through as a youngster)? From what I've seen of Batty, he is not ready at all. At least that's then four senior(ish) pros at the back.
  9. Carter is out for 3 weeks with a hamstring injury, whilst Gallagher has ‘had a set back’. Gally is making Grella look healthy in comparison. He’s never ever bloody fit.
  10. Newcastle watched Wharton once again last night. One to watch in January I would suggest unfortunately.
  11. I know Wharton (Adam) had his doubters but there’s no doubt in my mind he’s going to the PL next season regardless of what we do. Up against this lot and he’s still so classy on the ball.
  12. A bit of an enigma at the moment is Leonard. We can only hope he comes good. As others have said, he makes some good runs, and generally holds the ball up well. Hell, we have nothing else to cling to when it comes to strikers!
  13. He did, but he could have hit it up field. Terrible ball from the GK, terrible decision making from Brittain. Jackson just missed a sitter. This will be 5 or 6 if we’re not careful.
  14. Agreed. But I’m right in front of it. It was a God awful ball from Callum. Dog sh*t.
  15. Absolutely terrible from Brittain (I’m right in line with the Chelsea fans), terrible. This could be a massacre now they have the second.
  16. I could have sworn it was just last the last game that you predicted us to wipe the floor with Swansea and anyone else who stood in our wake.
  17. I'm in with the prawn sandwich brigade for this one thanks to my pal. Last time I was here we lost 5-0 in 2009. I would say surely it won't be as bad as that, but nothing under this lot surprises me. I just hope we can put on a relatively positive display and our youngsters rise to the occasion. If we can get the first goal then I think their fans will quickly turn restless.
  18. Only good news is they don’t have a goalscorer like us. Big mate is a fan of theirs and messaged me when they went behind to say ‘game over’. Which team does that remind you of?!
  19. What’s going on with Ennis? Seemingly back to some sort of fitness yet not thrown on when we’re 1 down at home. Whilst we’re on summer transfers, Sigurdsson is extremely concerning. Barely resembled a footballer these past few matches.
  20. Four losses at home already and we’re not even in November. ‘Fortress Ewood’ this season it is not. The ‘if you can’t win, make sure you don’t lose’ philosophy means nothing at Rovers. As with last season, it’s win or bust.
  21. I think we’ve got to trust that Scott Wharton has put his (very) indifferent form behind him, because I’m sure JDT would be loathe to move Hill/JRC given their respective form.
  22. Here’s a moment to relive the one that got away: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67210275
  23. Very interesting. It’s like those saying that Coventry were ridiculously fortunate to win last night. On another day we take a point - but let’s not forget they still hit the woodwork 3-4 times. I’m very concerned personally.
  24. Indeed. Seen a few folk on Twitter saying we're "too good to go down". Our form over the past 25(?) matches would suggest we are in for a real dog fight. Some folk are going to be in for a rough few months if they're suddenly expecting us to find the net with real regularity and keep it tight at the back consistently.
  25. This is where some experience would have come in bloody handy. We’re looking like we’ll need to be reliant on kids in a dog fight. Thank you Venky’s once again.
