  1. Even though Luton lost 3-2 to this WBA team they were still competitive, and that was away from home. How are we so much worse?
  2. Probably the biggest pop since Stone Cold in the late 90s?
  3. The pop when this song kicks in tonight will be legendary!
  4. Yes, there was definitely a line of thinking that Souey was as good as it was going to get for us.
  5. You see a lot of older members last visit being between 2011 - 2014. Quite a lot in 2016 as well. The Venky effect.
  6. Interesting how worried people were about Barry Ferguson being poached, considering how few positive contributions he ended up giving the club. Also funny to see so many people advocating Gordon Strachan as our next manager. He'd done alright at Southampton but for some reason seemed very highly regarded on here back then.
  7. A couple of blasts from the BRFCS past... Souness Must Go ? - October 2003 Souness Goes to Newcastle - September 2004
  8. You can see the difference Ayala makes to the defence. Let's hope for an unusually warm winter.
  9. Unfortunately for him they ended up losing 3-1!
  10. Good result for us. 15 shots to 2 tells a story - but we made the most of our chances and defended well, whilst Millwall only got 2/15 on target, scored once and conceded the only shot against them on target. One could argue they had a worse game than us.
  11. Thank goodness for our Chilean superstar and Championship level defences!
  12. Nobody can honestly say they didn't see that coming. We have been fucking abysmal.
  13. It would be ridiculous if he came in with a gimmick of being some kind of UFC fighter, for sure. If he just comes back as CM Punk I don't think the AEW audience will care about his MMA record.
  14. It was the lack of transparency for me Gav. It all felt very sneaky to me. If people want to separate Mowbray from that and say it was all OK then fine, but it made and continues to make me feel very uneasy about Mowbray, Waggott and Venus.
  15. I doubt anyone will surpass Kean for me in terms of despised Rovers managers. The Brockhall incident changed my mind on Mowbray being 'just a manager past his sell by date' though.
  16. At this point I'd be far more surprised if he came out with something sensible. Feels like he's been trolling the fans non-stop for at least a year now with his comments.
  17. Sadly I don't think the same can be said of our manager. If so he would have walked long ago during one of our numerous death spirals.
  18. Morecambe 2 shots on target, 2 goals. Sounds like Tony Mowbray's Blackburn Rovers to me.
  19. Obafemi is far better than anyone I'd expect Mowbray to sign otherwise, so I'd be happy enough if that goes through.
  20. If played regularly I think Arma could get 10-12 goals a season which wouldn't be a bad return. Needs to be coached on the clinical side of finishing and when not to shoot from outside the box. Won't be suitable for every game either, for some matches he'd be better as a super sub coming on against tired legs.
  21. 21 shots to 7, and 10 on target to 4 in our favour. Not even close.
  22. It's been ten years of decline in terms of fans ebbing away from the club. At some point it has to be understood that the club and the way it is run is the core issue here. If it was an issue with fickle fans it would have levelled out long ago, because it's not like anybody has been following Rovers for fun or glory in the last ten years.
  23. Feels like one that's going to go down to deadline day. We have a set amount we want met, whilst other clubs are low balling in the hope we'll be desperate enough to knock a few mill off our initial asking price. The situation would seem to be in the buying clubs' favour as we seem to need to Arma cash to even bring in loans, and leaving it until deadline day won't do us any good on that front. On the other hand this is Venky's, so anything could happen.
