  1. Against better opposition we will concede... the proof is in the pudding... it's not speculating.. we try and sit back for 35 minutes we will concede 8/10 times... I just don't get it! Great win of course and happy with the points
  2. Mulgrew makes such a difference... wonder if we would be better suited recruiting a proper CB alongside him and using Lenihan in CDM?
  3. Never a pen in a million years... But.. same as.. we went 2-1 up and then sat back.. herein lies the problem
  4. My team would be: Lutweiler Travis Downing Rodwell Williams Palmer Reed Rothwell Conway Armstrong Berereton
  5. How have we been playing.. How has the formation worked?? Lol
  6. Yes hope he's true to his word because at present I think he's over loyal
  7. I said the same thing to my lads on the walk home.. my 13yr old then went on to remind me about Dacks first 4 or 5 games for us.. The forest fans rated him very highly l, says something for me.
  8. Well that was a bit of a rollercoaster game!! When I saw the teams before the game, I said to my son's.. looks like its the end of our unbeaten home run.. they started off really well and we edged back into the game (along with help for Lenihan).. typical achilles heel for us trying to hold onto a lead late on... Tony has to review the tactic of sitting back.. there has to be another way.. Some highlighted thoughts on players from me: Reed - this guy looks immense, should be playing CDM with either Evans or Bennett for me! Lenihan - worst game in some time, the more I see him play the more I think he is more suited to be a CDM, the way he flies in, he can afford to do that with someone behind him if he cocks up?! Brereton - I'm a bit confused by what our strategy is with this guy.. is he gonna be a attacking wide striker or are we helping him learn his trade to be the main man in the future? Bell - Definitely going forward than defending Nyambe - this lad has made great progress and I honestly didn't think he had it in him.. so big well done! Dack - exceptional at times, personally don't think he's good enough for any premier league teams.. But he was great at times. Overall Ok with the point both Mike everyone else disappointed given the position we were in.. positive signs again and I think with a few more windows we will be a very good team!
  9. I'm surprised Ben didn't get on the pitch yesterday...
  10. Reality check that the gap between league 1 and championship is pretty monumental! Our decent start has been against average (At best teams) Brentford aside.. We can't afford to carry people in this league, our best team should be playing, the minimum requirement to get into the match day squad should be attitude and legs. Without both of these we may as well be a man down which will result in only one thing! One of the things I have noticed with Tony is he needs a defeat to change things and generally tends to stick rather than twist when we get draws and wins irrespective of the individual performance. Case being Rothwell / Smallwood.
  11. My team would be: Raya Nyambe Mulgrew Lenihan Bell Bennett Evans Palmer Dack Rothwell Armstrong (if fit) Brereton if not
  12. Anyone know if Chapman is expected to be loan only or loan with buy?
  13. I'm not for one minute saying I know better than Tony and his team, I'm just intrigued to understand what his attributes or even his potential attributes are..
  14. Fair comment I suspect our management team and others who were interested have seen something that separates him from the crowd
