Rothwell played on the right all the time before he went central and Armstrong played on the left in league one and in the championship before going up top. Everyone else is where they should be except cairney who was wasted out wide so I put him where I constantly said he should be played as proved by his form since . The defenders could be re jigged to there preferred feet and position etc I suppose 😂

I agree never been more underwhelmed with a player with such expectations. Even now people talk like he’s just gaining experience to be the next Henderson. He will sign for a club like hull in a season or two and be forgotten

People talk about us needing this player and that player when we were 2nd . I honestly believe we just had the managers the wrong way round. JDT would have gotten us promoted or at least give it a real go with the teams Mowbray had. The manager let us down. Yeah we would have had a better chance if we had signed players but the players we had were more than capable of promotion. Now with no aim, expectations or direction tony would probably stop us shipping goals . Funny old world

Just his lack of ability to affect games in general, consistency, coupled with a poor goal and assist return and the eye test . I’ve seen nothing that shows me at present his ceiling isn’t where he is now but young players can and often do go one way or the other so I guess it’s down to him , his attitude, work rate and how much he learns from his time here and seize the opportunity at Brighton if and when it comes. We will all have to wait and see but don’t let his coach telling people that make you think he will definitely become a world beater, Ross Barkley, Danny cadamartri, Jeffers, Hoilett , ravel Morrison. there’s hundreds of these for every one that fulfills there potential I was convinced Ross Barkley would be the next gazza for England he was that good as a teenager and you only have to listen to the red rats bang on about how good Morrison was going to be. Then you have injuries to consider

The thing with Wharton is he has an unteachable natural ability and with his age clubs no they can work on the rest of his game and have a player of real quality. He’s a country mile better than Moran even now

I agree with the general consensus that if Travis goes the fee will be absorbed in running costs and the wages will be reduced to continue to dumb down the entire operation but to throw a different angle at it for the more positive to possibly cling to ( and this may be bs on my behalf) but I’ve been listening to “experts” explain Chelsea’s transfer policy and their fans arnt happy with Connor Gallagher possibly being sold. From what I gather this has something to do with homegrown players being sold elieviating ffp constraints giving more wiggle room for transfers, more than if you sold a player you had purchased . I know we always seem to be on the cusp of ffp and with Travis, carter and Wharton all linked away plus Buckley being loaned out , could be a way of manipulating our ffp constraints. I know it’s operation dumb down at heart but i thought I’d put an alternative slant on the situation where I’m sure the more wiser members of the board will understand how it works far better than I can explain
