  1. I’d like to believe we will play Rothwell or chapman get in front and then bring downing on to have the experience to see out games after how many we let slip last season. If that’s the case plus the nurturing the younger lads it’s not a bad signing and on a one year contract a decent replacement for Conway. if he plans on starting him week in week out or playing him anywhere other than RW then it’s the most stupid pointless signing since gladwin got an extension
  2. I remember him away at Crewe . He was poor and looked disinterested. I was constantly screaming at him to run for the ball as he just strolled around. As usual he was playing out of his natural position and he didn’t seem to have a clue how to play the role Mowbray gave him
  3. I watched him and he was worse than useless with an attitude to boot
  4. Well if two clubs were in for me and one said We want you to sign for us and one said what Tony was quoted as saying I know where I would go
  5. I will say Mowbray isn’t brave. Signings like di canio at West Ham were brave. Signing players that have a chequered past but the manager knows how to handle them and get the best out of them whilst trying to keep a dressing room is brave. Signing players you have worked with or old pros you know will do a job but not push you on is not brave. Playing 10 soldiers and one artist every game at home is not brave. Sitting back every time we take a lead is not brave. Giving Breteton, chapman and Roth well ten minutes a season is not brave. If tony was brave I would believe we had half a chance of anything other than survival. He is a weak manager in tactics and the transfer market and he is on easy street here and I for one am getting tired of him.
  6. I bet he cant wait to come back knowing that
  7. Don't know how true this is but I can't see it myself. Firstly if he's so promising then why would Norwich let him leave for free. He is leaving for first team football something tony definitely would not offer 19 year old keeper. Can't see this having legs
  8. He looked good against England. that Romanian team had a lot of quality. One of the best youth teams I've seen in a long time. Anyway there was a lad came on for France against England and he looked awesome. It was non other than Lilian thurams son. He plays as a forward. Looks one for the future . Sadly I can't see master haghi or alike coming to rovers. Scouts and top teams will be aware of these lads from primary school. Wouldn't surprise me if they have a promising genetics/DNA database for everytime a half decent player has a baby
  9. That doesn't inspire me either but it's got to the point were I'd be relieved if he manages to pull them of
  10. Now your just being ridiculous there is no way Tony goes for all that and walks past the lemon drizzles
  11. They are very damning stats for someone who played in the majority as an attacking forward in one of the better teams in the league. One assist from a right sided forward is appalling and two goals isn't much better and he can't hide behind pulis tactics because we play not to dissimilar with inferior players
  12. I always rated him in his premier league days but in all honesty haven't Seen much of him over the last couple of years so have no idea what we have actually signed. If he is anything like the downing of years gone by then we have a good un. Time will tell. I just hope to god it isn't to the detriment of chapman or even rothwell
  13. I'm waiting for him to have a blinder at barrow ala caddis v York and everyone to start saying he is the second coming pleased he's signed now can we get some real business done that will actual make a difference to the worst defence in the entire football league.
  14. Still learning his trade until he reaches the mature age of 25 probably
  15. If true I don't think its a bad signing providing he isn't gobbling up the wage budget........and tony doesn't play him at cb
  16. Astonishing. Can’t believe what I’ve just seen. With everything at stake for both teams as well. very very poor from the ref
  17. I could see grealish go to spurs and dack as his replacement. Let’s hope not.
  18. Will be buying this when it’s released. Absolutely loved the guy and was devasted for him. Potential that will never be realised as he got better and better with every passing game and had every attribute to make it to the top. Besides all the wonderful memories he gave us I still remember jumping wildly when he scored against Pompey and I thought he was on his way back. I will always think what if and if only. Forever an unfinished story in rovers history. wish him all the luck in the world and would love to see him back at rovers in some capacity one day
  19. That was my first ever rovers shirt and my favourite off all time for that reason. Will always get goosebumps when I see that shirt
  20. I just hope Ghandi doesn’t fancy another visit. if he sees his clothing he will think he knows how to keep a clean sheet and before you know it he’s got the gloves on
  21. Friendlies against clitheroe, Southport , Kendal town and Lancaster confirmed today on official website
  22. If you press the red button You can get celebrity commentary maybe you have sat on the remote and your arse has selected Sean connery
  23. If you have ever heard a politician speak and listen to mowbray you will work it out. Peace
