  1. Many congratulations gumboots.
  2. The Beatles - Got To Get You Into My Life
  3. It could have been but I had it in my head it was a ‘live on tv’ game?
  4. He also fell flat on his face right in front of the Riverside terrace when trying to vault the pitch side wall at the front that end to get back to the TV box at half time in a live FA Cup match in the mid 80s (I can't remember whether it was Southampton or Man Utd). The Scots had a banner (and a song) about old Jimmy.
  5. Henning Berg gave us two good spells. But its difficult to look beyond Tugay really.
  6. The Zombies - A Rose For Emily (If you haven't heard the album this is from, Odyssey and Oracle, it is an all-time classic)
  7. Finding Jack Charlton was on BBC2 last night. It basically followed him during the last couple of years of his life and showed his battle with dementia. The talking heads were interesting as well, it was obviously a very strained relationship between Jackie and Bobby for example. Well worth watching. Should be available on the BBC iPlayer now.
  8. Dodgy - Staying Out For The Summer
  9. 34 years ago today was one of my happiest days as a Rover, when we defeated then first division Charlton 1-0 at Wembley to win the Full member's Cup. Nice to see Colin Hendry posting on Facebook about it today. In many ways I enjoyed that day more than Anfield 95. Don Mackay's Blue and White Army!!!!
  10. Indeed. I would expect a few low scoring test matches.
  11. The Supremes - Whisper You Love Me Boy
  12. Despite England losing again it was a terrific series. Should be a good summer of cricket between these two again.
  13. The English Beat - Save It For Later
  14. Mark Morrison - Return of the Mack
  15. Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
  16. You did. I wasn’t commenting on Buttler per se but on the distinct possibility of another England collapse having lost 3 wickets in no time.
  17. Speaking as someone who actually had a heart attack on a football pitch he is a lucky lad. I imagine he will receive a reasonable insurance pay off to set him up for whatever he decides to do with his life. So he is lucky in that respect too, though on either count I doubt it will feel that way to him at the moment.
  18. Nothing compared to drunkenly causing the death of a young man in a car crash in the grand scheme of things I suppose. My dad wasn’t one to slag footballers off (though he was never a lover of Stan Matthews for some reason) but he hated Dougan with a passion and that was reason enough for me to detest him.
  19. It isn’t true. And I assume you mean Bhoys 🤪😂☘️
  20. You missed the point completely Chaddy
  21. Paul Weller - Wishing Well
  22. Come on now, despite the brilliance of the openers and Stokes, who wasn’t slightly concerned when Buttler got out? Great chase that. Nice to see Liam Livingstone finally get a do as well.
  23. The Boo Radleys - Oh Brother
  24. Ritchie Remo - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker
  25. Donna Summer - On The Radio
