  1. I was chatting to Gordon Lee's son the other day. Gordon is still alive and well into his late 80s and itching to get on the golf course. He has very fond memories of his time at Rovers.
  2. Captain Sensible - Happy Talk
  3. Grow a pair and dress him in his Rovers stuff in front of her while singing the song that darrenrover has posted on the nostalgia thread a couple of hours ago 😁😉
  4. The Who - I Can't Explain
  5. Roman Holliday - Don't Try To Stop It
  6. Paul Weller - Everything Has A Price To Pay
  7. Cilla Black - Step Inside Love
  8. John Martyn - I'd Rather Be the Devil
  9. Weller did a great cover of this a few years ago. Speaking of whom.... The Jam - Down In the Tube Station at Midnight
  10. Dack is the one with the brain, he would feed off Brereton’s miscontrols 😜
  11. Deacon Blue - Queen of the New Year
  12. Call me old fashioned but I would be playing Brereton and Dack up top if Armstrong is injured.
  13. Firstly, it is Brockhall. And we have had plenty of good young lads come through the academy since Dunn. I need go no further than Jones but we’ve also had Hoilett, Olsson, Hanley etc. If you think we are “correct in rearranging” the training set up please explain what makes it correct.
  14. The Jam - When You’re Young
  15. Bunny Wailer passed away at the age of 72 RIP 😢
  16. Thanks lads. I needed a laugh tonight. 52 years I’ve supported the Rovers and I didn’t actually know we were playing tonight until a few minutes ago.
  17. Surely not Tyrone? I thought Scousers were always the victims in life? Going back to Ian St John, he told a great story of when Shankly signed him. Shanks said "Two things son, score goals and don't lose your accent!".
  18. Prefab Sprout - Carnival 2000
  19. The Electric Light Orchestra - The Diary Of Horace Wimp
  20. I would have put money on him outliving Greavsie but hadn't realised he had also been ill. RIP The Saint, thanks for the memories.
  21. The Human League - Love Action (I Believe In Love)
  22. I would pitch it as around League 1 standard (old firm apart). Craig Conway is comfortably getting a game every week, and indeed helped to lift silverware at the weekend. That said, Magloire is playing well for 'Well at the moment, and he will hopefully benefit in the way that Wharton did during his loan spells. Edit: just seen there is a separate thread discussing this very topic.
  23. I suppose Blackpool could have refused to let him talk to Rovers if he was still their manager?
