  1. Inept and out of his depth. Hired by Waggott to not rock the boat and do as he’s told.
  2. Thank god for Sammy Smzodics. What a season he is having. Special. Eustace is out of his depth. I would get rid now and that isn’t a knee jerk reaction to this crap tonight. Been dross since he came in. Bring a manager in who can make an immediate impact with some tactical knowledge and presence. See Sheff Wed… No wins in 7.
  3. Could be doing with prime Mulgrew again in L1 next year
  4. Selling Adam to raise funds to run the club in the short term is going to backfire rather horribly when we get relegated. We stand to lose even more millions. 1. By all accounts he did not want to leave 2. He was integral to the team and the best player we had 3. Why not keep him until the end of the season, increase his value more, then sell him. Telling me Crystal Palace (and others) would have lost interest by then? Another outstanding decision from our glorious leadership. Rotten.
  5. You just have to laugh at it all. Shambles doesn't even start to cover it.
  6. Unfortunately, as he’s a Waggott appointment, I can’t see that happening anytime soon. If he toes the party line and doesn’t rock the boat the job is his as long as he wants it.
  7. His ‘no excuses’ line didn’t last very long. Knew that would come back to bite him when he said it. He isn’t up to it - 0 wins in 6? Really really poor first half. Second half better but damage was done. Imagine this season without Szmodics? Good grief.
  8. We are going down aren't we. That was the worst half of football I've seen in years. Togetherness......
  9. Interesting article: "They were cutting the budget" - Manager on leaving 'difficult situation' at Blackburn Rovers, pleased with present job - Sport Witness He has confirmed he was talking to the Swedish FA since December: Jon Dahl Tomasson left the club earlier this month but talks with Sweden first took place towards the end of December, a month after Janne Andersson stepped down from his post. He revealed this when asked to share what he felt when he first got a call from Sweden, and his comments are relayed by Aftonbladet. “We’ve been talking since before Christmas. The situation at Blackburn was a bit different then. But I got the perfect feeling right away that I wanted to be part of that journey. The conversations we had were extremely positive and I got a ‘wow’ feeling that I really want to be involved,” Jon Dahl Tomasson explained. Writing was on the wall since then - he was checked out clearly, hence the lack of willingness to change tactics or grind out results? Once the budget got cut and he got peed off in the summer, we should have parted ways. Ultimately Venkys are the reason he left. I am sure he will do well with them and go on to have a good managerial career at a European club.
  10. Proud of the team tonight. Superb. Whatever happens in these pens.
  11. Those subs changed the game for us. Problem having a crap squad. Siggy can’t win a header or tackle. For 70 mins we were excellent though, credit where it’s due. Defensively much better. Pears also not put a foot/glove wrong.
  12. The same issue as the Wrexham game. Pee up brewery. We really are the worst run club in the country. Seeing Waggott there grinning with Shearer and a glass of champagne made me ill. Come on Rovers though - do yourselves proud.
  13. Great move for him, hope he does well. I wonder if Leo will get the call...........
  14. This is utterly woeful. Hard to believe how badly we have regressed since November.
  15. Szmodic feeding of scraps in this new ‘style’. He looks so frustrated. We have been utterly dire.
  16. Our squad isn’t very good. Relative to the last few seasons….crikey.
  17. I really struggle with Eustace and his interviews. Says a lot without saying much at all. Usually include: 'no excuse culture', 'togetherness', really excited', 'you know', 'working really hard', 'fadzy/hedgy/bucko/lowey'
  18. Thank you for sharing this. Confirms a lot of what I already believed to be the case. JDT is a class act. Ultimately, he was failed by the club and not the other way round. If he had got what he wanted in the summer, 'the project' would have continued and I believe eventually he would have got us to the PL. I also agree and feel like we have downgraded with Eustace. Nothing against him, of course he would take the job. He should be honored to. He has a minute fraction of JDTs pedigree and standing in the game and strikes me as a bit of a standard journeyman football coach. He is less articulate in his interviews that JDT and uses cliché after cliché, its horrible to listen to - particularly in the knowledge he is towing the party line; togetherness bla bla bla. It is dumbing down of expectations and a regression in my view. The problem was never the manager, it was the owners and those charlatans who lied and broke promises. I was extremely excited at the end of last season. What could, and should, have been.
  19. £25 tickets for Plymouth at home. Staggering.
