  1. Shown his ability on the ball. Pace of the game quicker than he is used to but he will be just fine. Palace fans love him already.
  2. Because Waggott is back in full control.
  3. Eustace doesn’t stand a chance of being successful. 1. Because the root of all the problems still exist. 2. The vast majority of fans are fuming/disappointed/apathetic after the manner in which JDT left. JDT left on the side of the fans, Eustace has serious work to do to get that support. 3. He has accepted the job working for and under the charlatans running the club. This smacks of a Waggott appointment. A journeyman with little to no gravitas or heritage. Compare his and JDTs pedigree. It is no surprise he took the job, anyone in his situation would be lucky to manage Rovers. My issue isn’t with him, I wish him the best in very difficult circumstances. My main feeling is now apathy. A mediocre, cheap and boring appointment. Until the board and the owners go we are in purgatory. Miserable.
  4. Sad and disappointed in how the JDT era has ended. The man is a class act and has higher standards and ambitions than the charlatans running the club. Just look at his career. His statement is excellent and shows his integrity. He will go on to be successful as a manager, zero doubt. Good on him for trying to raise the standard at the club in impossible circumstances. Eustace….just totally apathetic. Another journeyman and back to the level I’d hoped we had grown from. Nothing against him, I’m just totally underwhelmed and frankly, over it all. The timing of the announcement from the club and the wording is totally classless. It’s all just very sad. I think I’m done with it.
  5. That the club think they can still charge £30 quid to go to this is quite staggering. Will we all get an audience with Waggott and the players for that?
  6. Another reason to appreciate JDT. Speaks the truth and what we are all thinking. Where does this end?
  7. He’s practically in tears in that exit interview. Not sure he wanted to leave (yet….or to Crystal bloody Palace). Sad day for us fans but all the best to him, hopefully fulfils his incredible potential. I’d hoped we would get another season out of him at least, even dreamt we might challenge for promotion with him. Thanks to the shambolic way the club is run that was never going to happen. Sign of where we have fallen to that we sell a homegrown talent to a ‘bigger club’…..Crystal Palace. Bit different to Duff going to Chelsea or Jones to Utd.
  8. So the rumor about the Venky overlords stopping any permanent transfers or fees is correct? 22m into the black hole it seems. As many of us predicted, we likely wont see any of it spent on transfers.
  9. Not necessarily against that, if he is crap we don't need to buy. If he isn't, we can.
  10. Ambition…. Develop and sell players: tick Stay in the league: likely tick (this year) Probably a nice bonus for Waggott. Thats our lot folks.
  11. Hard work being a Rovers fan at the moment.
  12. Siggurdson on for Crisene please. Worrying lack of urgency across the board.
  13. Amidst the (totally reasonable) misery and gloom connected to the total s show at Rovers currently.......was reflecting on at least one good decision from GB - to let Dack go. Saw an article saying he is injured again. A real shame how is career is fizzling out.
  14. I always had the impression Davenport thought he was better than he was - record since Rovers would corroborate. Managed 25 appearances total in league 2 for Stockport and Morecambe....
  15. Fear a bit of a pasting in this one. Jed Wallace and Swift back for them. Team is somehow lighter than it was pre window. Will be interesting to see if Pears gets the GK spot back.
  16. Kaminski Lenihan Tosin Van Hecke Givet Cairney Reed Brereton Dack Elliott Armstrong Trying to pick a right back was fun. We have had some dross there in 10 years. Opted for lenihan.
  17. Plus Brereton in the summer
  18. The Beadle rumor is rubbish I imagine. However......Imagine a scenario a few years ago when we got shut of (then a shocking) Jason Steele and someone told you we would be trying to loan a keeper who is 3/4th choice behind him. Sign of the change in stature and fall from the top table.
  19. Well, this is all pretty desperate. I imagine JDT has nothing to do with this, otherwise he looks a bit of a hypocrite bemoaning a lack of experience. This has to be a purely financial decision. The situation at the moment is untenable and something has to give. We cannot survive if the 'keeping the lights on' money has to be approved every quarter by a court in India. Ultimately, as I have said for a long time, Venkys simply don't care. We are but a drop in their ocean. Purgatory.
  20. How bloody good is Sam Szmodics. Top scorer in the championship at a canter. Quite marvellous, yet under the radar
  21. There’s stretched then there’s us currently. Pickering now injured. Any guesses on the back 4?
  22. No shame in our result last week when you consider this is basically the same Chelsea team. Feeling proud of the lads that played.
