  1. Siggurdson has technical quality - something the rest of our squad lacks. Big time. We also saw he can score goals last year - up to the QPR game he looked fanstastic. Give him a go in Sammie's role. Doubt we sign anything better.
  2. Will be waggott and suhail up front at this rate
  3. Oh for the days when we were getting excited and optimistic about signing such players under JDT. This is beyond bleak.
  4. I think this will just be reallocation of JDT and GB wages. JDT will have earned far more than Eustace. No incremental budget at all.
  5. My first thought too. It is obvious the taps are well and truly off. I had wondered how we were affording the new army of 'head ofs' - but I imagine Waggott has simply taken JDT and GB salaries and are paying the new folks peanuts. Eustace will be on a fraction of what JDT was on. And through all of this.....fans left wondering, Waggot says nothing.
  6. Best kit for a while and SO much better without that silly devil. The sponsor on the ladies kit looks very smart, actually prefer it. Hopefully it is an omen for a good season.
  7. The problem with Hedges (and many in the squad) is that he won't be available for 70% of games over the course of a season. Clear technical ability but he is made of glass.
  8. In that interview he says the objective is to finish higher than last year, you know. Which equally means not get relegated, you know. Lofty ambitions again this season after Waggott’s stay in the league last.
  9. Italy won and controlled a game coming from behind. Germany dismantled a Scotland side with more premier league/top tier players than this Serbia side. LOL!
  10. England are very average. Compare to Germany, Italy and Spain. France still to play.
  11. Did nothing this eve but is that Hearts striker worth a shout for us?
  12. If you enjoy more platitudes, talk of a lack of budget, gushing thanks for Steve and Suhail and being told we all need to be together - yep, go for it.
  13. A good number of posts on here since the appointments have had me laughing. Laugh is all you can do.
  14. The best transfer we could have is a new manager. Yet to be remotely convinced by Eustace and all of his cliches. Actually, that would be third best. A new CEO and new owners get the 1 and 2 spot.
  15. £18million.........another excellent piece of business from Rovers. Nice one Venkys. And we will not see a penny of it. Shambles.
  16. Good luck to him and I hope he makes a full recovery. A decent man. I imagine a few in his position would do the same.....another slog in League 1 doesn't sound fun.
  17. He will come back and the club will herald the new signing, like some sort of returning Mascherano. Imagine Travis won’t be too pleased to come back….
  18. Classic Rovers that this still isn't announced days after it became public knowledge
  19. 1. We wont sign an ambitious, modern DoF - we will get someone who says 'yes sir' to Waggott, just like Eustace 2. Not sure I would trust Eustace to either identify talent properly or do a decent job convincing anyone to join rovers. If he thinks out lot have been 'fantastic' since he came in, his standards may be lower than ours 2. With both JDT and Broughton leaving our knowledge of the international/European markets probably also leaves. We will go back to the TM/Waggott policy of domestic crap only Where can I buy my season ticket?!!
  20. I would argue Tosin, Reed and Van Hecke were all very good loans. (Granted TM played Reed out of position in favor of Richie Smallwood.....)
  21. It is just sad. Past anger with this lot in charge now. Likely should have known better, but when Broughton and JDT arrived in the summer of 2022 it seemed like a fresh, ambitious start. All the talk was about growth and getting to the premier league. It sounded like lessons had been learned and structures, processes and people put in place to progress the club. We then had the best season since relegation, including two great cup runs. JDT was the best manager we have had in years - ambitious, driven and demanding high standards. Broughton probably was out of his depth, but he seemed honest and with good intentions. When last could we say that about people at the club? Certainly can't now. Fast forward two years and there is no argument we are worse off. Waggott (can barely bring myself to mention his name my loathing for that man is so high) is back in total control. Venkys are still here, none of us know why. The club is celebrating staying in the league. A 37 year old McFadzean signing a new deal (after release from the mighty....Coventry) is marquee. Another mediocre, journeyman manager in charge. Declining attendances, Ewood left to ruin and no announcement on season tickets. Our best talent for a generation flogged prematurely to keep the lights on. The club in its current state don't deserve the fans. It is clear, to me at least, the club is being run in spite of and not for us. It is rotten.
  22. So Waggott reigns supreme. Sickening.
  23. Confirms what I have suspected... - JDT was a tactical master with extremely high standards. Certain way of playing. Speaks of him very highly - says he is the better manager. Some players hated it. - Eustace is more of a 'players' manager, came in and gave them days off. Loves motivational videos and team talks. Players have it easier 100% - Not exactly committing to the club, said would jump at a premier league move (and who could blame him)
