  1. No, Rothwell for me. Davenport looking very lightweight when I saw him in pre-season (twice) and seemed to be lacking something, urgency being the main one, seemed rather lazy in possession. Maybe used to having a lot of time on the ball previously. However played well at Burton. Rothwell looks the better player though, he seems to have a real passion and desire to do well at Rovers.
  2. It's Rodwell just posted it on Facebook
  3. He is going on loan, deals agreed with Bradford, fleetwood and Luton, left to play to decide.
  4. Mate of mine is a Norwich fan said he was brilliant for them last season and was disappointed he isn't down there, said the majority of fanbase think same. Personally saw him when he was younger playing for Southampton and he was a real player. Perfect replacement for Smallwood, but with more ability on the ball and a lot quicker.
  5. Yes would have thought so mate. Maybe 2k at Wigan not much more. Bolton away on telly also, but with it being a tea time saturday and not having played there for about 3 years, probably sell out.
  6. Interestingly and maybe quite fortunately we have 1 home game midweek until after March 2019 now. Sheff Utd at home, which I think will attract a decent crowd anyway. The other this year is on a tuesday but is new years day against West Brom, so again, probably another decent crowd. The next one then isn't until March as said, and that's a derby against Wigan, so maybe another decent crowd if we are doing okay. The fixture list has treated us kindly this time. Will be interesting to see how many we take to Wigan away midweek though in November, 4 weeks before Christmas.
  7. Maybe it's the 'competition' that is within the club this season, let's be honest who could we have played instead of him over the last few years. Now he's got Rothwell and Davenport to compete with for that role.
  8. Think everyone will agree with you on that one mate. Good player. I'm still baffled as to why we aren't looking at wingers, to allow us to play bennett in smallwood role.
  9. Travis is going out on loan, Bradford, Luton and fleetwood made arrangements with rovers, now upto the player.
  10. Harrison Reed, Rodwell and anichebe, please no.
  11. So we've gone from an £8mil striker, £4mil midfielder and £2mil defender to a freebie crock of shit striker, a cheap loan in midfield and someone promoted from the youth team for defence. Predictable I Suppose
  12. So are Ipswich and Millwall but we didnt beat them either. It's a worry, as we have real top teams of the division coming up now.
  13. Fuck sake. Him on end looks like lenihan
  14. Said since start of season Rothwell needs to start over smallwood and put bennett in central midfield. Although we've currently no wingers in the entire squad bar conway, so we can't. We will lose the game once he brings nuttall on.
  15. As usual a half where we are awful. Get away with it in league one but not in this league. It's not good enough. They'll come out fighting in second no doubt, pull one back and whimper in last 20 mins and get nothing from the game, it's all very predictable.
  16. Reading, pointless, needed something to give them confidence, weve gifted that to them. That's rovers for you.
  17. Ye probably pal. Was just going off minimal valuations, but with Lenihan probably right pal.
  18. Guess would be something to do with this (http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/15289348.Venky_s_launch_Rovers_overview_by_bringing_in_accountancy_giants_KPMG_and_Deloitte/). Deloitte come in, tell them the only way you are going to make this a profitable business and a success is by putting up a big outlay now and get back to the top flight, and within a season you'll have made all your money back and have some change. Mowbray last summer will have said, I can manage on this budget this season but next season it will need to be more and if we don't manage it we are still brining in young talent who will undoubtedly sell on for a bigger fee ala Dack, Rothwell, Davenport, Brereton, Bell and the likes of academy products Nyambe, Lenihan and Raya. If we don't go up this season, but manage to have a relatively good season, we will have some very valuable footballers on our books; Raya, Nyambe and Lenihan all capable of bringing a fee of £5million plus as a minimum (£15million just from the academy) Dack - £15-20 million Armstrong £7 million plus, if he bags a few goals (doubling his purchase price) Rothwell and Davenport probably at the very worst a couple of million each, far more than their purchase price and a few more who we may get a few quid for, and any more new signings.
  19. You've recently joined and have been talking garbage for weeks. Please stop.
