Still gutted about JDT leaving and after yesterday feel like we've lost our identity.. Always positive, always playing the right way.. Hampered massively by injuries, inheriting a depleted squad from Mogga before having the remaining jewels sold off from under him.. I can't get behind this shit, it's grim, club feels like a hollowed out shell. Eustace has only been here a few days and we've reverted to I don't know what.. Dark days! -

Now we look like a side without any identity at all... Dreadful stuff. Sure, go long at times but, Jesus! Come on, we're capable of playing it out too. From one extreme to the other. Really disjointed, disappointing half of football. Play it out from the back, draw the buggers in then hit them. -

Rothwell is a gem, Premier League player- ruined his career leaving United when he did.. -

I sincerely expected last season to be like this.. The only difference is we had a top keeper. Our XG and predicted position was dreadful. We were winning games we shouldn't. Remove Breo, Travis, Kaminski out of the equation and you're in trouble. That's before you consider what losing both Dack and Breo, Travis and Buckley would have on the dressing room. A decimated squad has been further decimated.
-
You can't expect a team full of loanees to fight their way out of it- they're all buggering off to their respective clubs soon anyway. Travis, Buckley, Wharton. There you go. Instead we've got a midfield full of lightweight kids that have little, if any, affinity to the club. Madness. Why couldn't Tronsdadt play deep with Travis box to box then that new lad from Brighton looks quite handy?...

They're shite. I want us to use some of that cash to reinvest and improve the squad. The current bunch are doing nothing but sending us down -

I don't disagree that they put a shift in, but that can't be the only qualifying criteria for our centre midfielders. Neither have pace. Neither can carry a ball. Neither are particularly creative. If we don't bring in at least two quality centre midfielders I'd not bet against us going down. Crazy. A season in which we've seen: Buckley, Travis, Breo, Wharton and potentially Gallagher walk out the club and brought in.. Trondstadt (Who I really rate) and a load of lightweight, cheap loans.. you're asking for trouble. From a midfield of academy graduates that had an affinity with the club and fans in Travis, Bucko and Wharton to a midfield packed with lightweight, non-descript loanees- you're asking for trouble. What a dreadful strategy. -

So we've got one senior centre midfielder in Trondstadt. An inconsistent lightweight loanee in Moran, Ayari, another loanee that couldn't get in Coventry's side and Garrett.. Jesus Christ! Absolutely awful. How anyone can look at that be happy is beyond me. Dreadful! Dreadful! Dreadful! Essentially we own two centre midfielders: Trondstadt and Garrett- one is a very decent player, the other has limited potential. How bringing in quality in the middle cannot be an absolute priority is beyond comprehension. I give up. -

Quite happy with the older head coming in. Now we're just lacking 'QUALITY' replacements for: Rothwell, Brereton, Dack Travis, Wharton, Buckley... Pears (Replace) Wharton (Happy) Hyam (Happy) Carter (Happy) Pickering (content) Brittain (Happy) Garrett (Not ready) Trondstadt (Happy) Szmodic (Happy) Dolan (Happy) Gallagher (Content) Siggy (Content) Need a keeper, two centre midfielders, two strikers and then at least one wide player with pace. Midfield's been absolutely decimated. We surely can't be happy with only Garrett and Trondstadt as permanent first team centre mids. Garrett looks a prospect but isn't ready yet.. We've holes all over the squad. We've an alarming lack of pace and creativity too! -

Absolutely love JDT, give him some finance and he'll take us up. Great coach being heavily handicapped. -

Ennis is poor, the lad can't run! -
How much did we get for Phil Jones all those years ago? Granted Jones had tested himself against Drogba et.al, but I think we should be looking at 20m + add ons. If he was to go for 18.5m I'd want some serious add-ons in the future given his potential.

I don't, I think he's dreadful, but football is a game that divides opinion. Hope he comes good, but a bit like Leo, I don't see any outstanding attributes. -

I remember Hughes had a maxim of prioritising very good strikers: Bellamy, Benni, Roque.. If you have people at the top end that can score the opposition have to think.. Then someone keeping them out- it ain't rocket science.. Yesterday we had Wahlsted at one end and Leonard at the other.. I'd not be confident with them in league 2. -

Jason Steele all over again. Sickens me. Robinson was shite, then Kean, then we had Steele.. Raya was a breath of fresh air and the switch to him from Steele almost saw us survive. Bombed him out and then brough in another sub-standard keeper that ruined our play-off chances before unearthing another quality keeper in Kaminski. Letting those two go (Raya/Kaminski) for £5m (not including add-ons) is absolutely shocking business. Cast your mind back to last season. Kaminski won us so many points, pulling outrageous saves out the bag whilst making the saves you'd expect/hope him to make. This meant we could sneak 1-0's when we really didn't deserve anything- our XG was appalling last season yet we were touching play-offs all year. I'd argue that was down to our keeper(s). Selling Kaminski was a massive error of judgement. I genuinely fear for us. I hope to god Pears comes back steady or we're in the shite. I'd be looking for an experienced steady head inbetween the sticks to organise and reinstill some confidence in our defence. Pears a decent(ish) back up and Wahlsted can go off on loan to a lower league side. He's not good enough. To compare him to Raya is perhaps unfair, but at his age Raya was earning rave reviews winning games on loan for Southport. Wahlsted is nowhere near that level. I'd go as far to say he doesn't exhibit any outstanding attritbutes. In such a key position, perhaps harsh, but I'd be looking to sell him on. -

Gallagher is an asset, big lad, very mobile- if we played with wingers that crossed the ball I think he'd do much better. The majority of his time with Rovers has been spent in wide forward positions- even from there his pressing and work-rate is tremendous. If you think we're going to replace him with 1.5 million you're off your head. It's not happening. As someone else suggested, he'll get sold and we'll bring a loan in if we're lucky. If Gallagher is being sold then it has to be of benefit (unlike Kaminski) financially so we can get an adequate replacement. I'd be asking for 3-4 million. If you don't pay it then he stays- simple. Play him down the middle when he's back and try whipping a few balls into the box. Only Rovers could lose: Brereton, Rothwell, Kaminski, Lenihan, Gallagher for a net 3.5 million. That's why the club's fucked.
