A Brereton-esque turn around in performances but hell of a lot quicker.. Whilst his finishing leaves a bit to be desired, he's an absolute power-house, great in the air, strong on the deck and really good feet for a big man.. The more I watch him, the more I think we've got a decent player.. Get those contracts sorted out- Travis, Trondstadt and Brittain are priorities. The Kargbo contract is ludicrous- he's going to need a new one at the end of next season, and, judging from his 5 minute cameo (yes, I like to jump the gun) he's going to be a right handful... Looking forward to seeing Denny boy and Kargbo either side Gueye.. Sit deep and smash teams on the break.. I think we could get fairly close to the play-off's if we can keep everyone fit. However, Trondstadt has left a Sonny shaped hole in the midfield. I really would have preffered not to have signed Forshaw and took gamble on a young lad from league one or two, but 'hey-ho'.. What a turgid performance.. Hedges and Dolan really poor.. Cantwell did nothing when he came on either.. Other than that, 6/10 for the rest- no spark. Really like the look of AK47, very quick- will benefit us massively on the counter-attack..

People seem to forget the wages we've off-loaded in recent years too! Dack, Graham, Mulgrew, Gallagher, Szmodics (new contract), Wharton (new contract), Lenihan, Brereton.. I could obviously be way off, and this is only conjecture, but I can't see the lads we've brough in being paid more than the ones we've let leave.. Surely it was worth keeping hold of Semir to compliment what we have... He always looked very tidy, composed and linked up play well quite well. I guess I am answering own question... We have an obsession with forwards that press.. No us, but running stats seem to dominate the game at the moment... What about two quick wingers to stretch the full backs and a decent attacking cm to support the big man with people breaking into the box.. I think these problems are well document and until resolved most strikers in the mould of Semir will struggle.. I don't think Lewandoski would get double figures in this side..

Eustace is performing miracles. Squad's paper-thin, ravaged with injuries and even before that is pretty shite. We have no pace, no creativity and no (frequent) goal scorer. The squad at present, is relegation fodder. We need to spend a good 10-15m to get some assets onto the books and make us competitive. It's not happening.. Wish Venkys would sod off.
