Gueye is never going to be a high pressing forward.. utilize the lads strength'sm.. he has Great feet, can pass and link Play, strong as an ox and a threat in the air... Why not play Ohashi at the Pinnacle, doing your pressing and Gueye in a slightly free role off him breaking into the box for headers etc ..

Totally agree...what I was saying is I thought him and Ohashi were equally poor.. however Woodrow was heavily involved in our goal.. yet Ohashi is significantly higher in the ratings.. I'd have given them both 5.5 however, simply because of his central role in our goal Woodrow deserves a 6 (subjective opinion). I just think the ratings is a really interesting thing to unpick..

Just looking at the player ratings...not a fan of Foreshaw, however thought he played really well.. surprised he wasn't around a 7 at least.. likewise I couldn't separate Woodrow and Ohashi.. However Woodrow at least got an assist.. Funny old game is football..

Rest Ohashi, start Gueye with Tyjon playing off him.. Raise the lads profile so when we inevitably lose him, we can get a bit more for him.. Nothing agaisnt any of them, but I don't see value in Sanderson, Cozier-Duberry, Woodrow, Foreshaw being in the squad. Might as well throw some young lads on the bench that'll be here beyond the end of the season..

Thought, Toth's looked good. Some tidy saves and good distribution. Hopefully keeps it up. Feel like we lack that penetration out wide. Hedges, as much as I like him just lacks that extra bit of quality- he's like a solid 6 but you need that extra quality to frequently produce the goods... Ohashi, as a lone striker, for me, doesn't possess the necessary attributes.. I think a few people have said it, but surely him playing off Gueye makes most sense.. Summer think we're going to need two new wingers to go alongside, Kargbo and Hedges.. A ball carrying centre midfielder in the mould of Rothwell (Good luck finding one of those- don't even see anyone in the Prem with those attributes) and another striker- a very good one to compliment the other two.. Realistically, it's going to be two or three loans and some obcsure freebies on super low wages.. If they want to fill Ewood, spend the money (which won't happen), play some exciting football and make people want to attend.. Fifteen years tells me not to bother. Mad to think we were a very well run, established Premier League club 15 years ago... No sign next season is going to be any different..

Belting player and was very highly regarded for a long time. It's good to see him flourish, sickener it's not with us. We've brought some very good players through in recent years : Wharton, Raya, Phillips, Carter, S Wharton but for injures would have had a much better career.. Travis, Lenihan.. With shrewd leadership we could and probably should be EPL yo-yo at least with a core of home grown players.. Swings and roundabouts though. One day we'll be back. Good luck with the season.
