Tony Mowbray - Stick or Twist ?
Songman replied to Tyrone Shoelaces's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Go - 100%. Not a chance this man can get us top 6. If he goes now then he leaves with a better reputation than when we appointed him. -
Looking to Purchase Classic Rovers kits from 90s
Songman replied to Matt1009's topic in For Sale and Wanted
I've a 91/92 home shirt that I've been toying with the idea of ebaying -
Agree on Nyambe, worryingly if Bennett and JRC were fit there's a fair chance Mowbray would have Nyambe sat on the bench.

Supporters Consultation Meeting
Songman replied to J*B's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is something I intend to raise, pretty sure I've seen it raised at one of these or a fans forum meeting within the last couple of years and nothing seems to have been done about it, it's deteriorated if anything. -
Wigan Athletic (H) - Monday Night Football (urgh..)
Songman replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Keep a winning team where possible but make the four changes you mention ?. Do agree on the points you make though. -
Well what I would say is, Raya seems to have improved since leaving and Walton deteriorated since joining. Should tell you everything you need to know regarding BB

Goes on about having the correct balance at centre half ( left footer and right footer). Yet is happy to play a right footer at left back. Time to go.

Id take a look at Gareth Ainsworth, Blackburn lad, Rovers fan, currently has Wycombe 2nd in league one somehow. Shades of Chris Wilder?
-
Yeah and about 75% were sideways or backwards.
-
In that case we're in big trouble.
-
I've never really been a fan, certainly wouldn't call him names though. Big few weeks ahead for him.
-
Few different players yes, not seen anything in the 2 games to suggest different tactics as yet.
-
Cheers, 2 points worse than I thought.
-
We are, but is it not 19 points from 57 available or something on those lines.
-
Not his 'boys' that are the problem, it's Tony himself.
-
Wow I've read it all now, a top 6 finish haha. Bring in those 2 and we may have a chance of not finishing in the bottom 6.
-
He was very fortunate to get the job imo, but even more fortunate to follow Coyle. His time here is up for me. Does make you wonder what the response would be if it was Coyle who was coming out with the ridiculous contradicting comments Mowbray has of late.
-
I'd sooner have an experienced centre half and then experienced keeper if the budget stretches. Surely Walton not coming on season loan to sit on bench.

Did Fielding not sign for Millwall a couple of weeks ago?

Craig Conway - (Not getting a) New contract
Songman replied to Commondore's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This transfer window will determine whether his time here was up or not. If improvements are signed then yes time was up. If we are watching Samuel/Brereton trying to operate out wide come August, then for me Conway would have been worth an extra year on the sheer basis he can cross a ball. In fact was probably the best crosser of a ball we have? -
Early FA Cups to be reclassified ...
Songman replied to sympatheticclaret's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Your a league above us, forget about us like we did you for the best part of 20 year. Watched the Everton game Friday night and could only hear anti rovers chants. It still really hurts you doesn't it.... -
Season Tickets 2019/2020
Songman replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Any significant increase in season ticket prices just shows how far out of touch the current setup are with the fanbase and the local area. Terrible if true. -
I thought his movement was pretty good, which hasn't really been noticeable when playing out wide for 10 mins here and there. Took the team 20 or so minutes to stop knocking that diagonal hoof they like to play to Danny Graham, but once they did Brereton began to get into the game. There's promise in my opinion.
-
I really can't weigh up his desire to make so many changes to the team so frequently. Young Tyler Magloire did well for 2 games and doesn't even make the bench now, for me if your playing well you keep your place or at least make bench. The other lad is it Buckley? Impressed at Sheff wed, hasn't been seen since. There's a lot to be said for a settled team. Horrible thing to say, but the model you need to follow if not spending millions of pounds is that of Burnley 2013/2014 when Dyche was going 10 games at a time without changing his starting 11.

If the required money is available in the summer to ensure we are competitive next season, would it be wise to trust Tony with it? Considering his sketchy as best transfer record.
