If he end up seeing his contract out then they will take a damn sight more than a £5 Million hit. He's hopeless and isn't good enough to make it here, the only way he might make it here is if we get relegated. Which might well happen if we continue to sign players of his standard.
-
What attributes does he have to suggest he is going to be a good striker though? He's weak, he doesn't head the ball, he's got no pace or skill to beat a man, he's doesn't work hard and he doesn't appear to be a natural finisher as was shown tonight when he was what 6-7 yards from goal and put in out for a throw in. He's shown nothing not even a glimpse of potential.

If we could somehow persuade a club to give us £1Million or even £750,000 then I think we would be best off taking it cutting our loses. As you say a loan deal isn't the answer, it would be completely humiliating for all parties. If Mowbray was responsible for this signing (and I believe he was) then we need to bring someone in to take charge of recruitment and do due diligence as we can't afford another deal like this. The transfer market certainly isn't Mowbray's strong point.

It would have been a rather key contribution though had Dack scored, no one else in our team is capable of doing. He also dropped deep put the ball into the box that that led to Brereton firing out for a throw not to mention the numerous balls he won. As for 'he's had very few decent games' I just can't agree he's been one of our top and most consistent performers this season and we look a much poorer side when he's not on the pitch.

All the dross we have in our squad yet you save the majority of your criticism for one of our best players. Faded completely? Did you miss it when he chested the ball down and then played a lovely ball into Conway who nodded down to Dack who should have put us in front. You say that you never know if he's going to be available which is a strange comment as only Raya has played more league games than him this season and in all competitions only Raya and Armstrong have played more. As for you never know if he's going to be on his game well you can probably say that for every player in the Championship.

Great to see the Pacquiao Bronner fight on free to air tv this weekend, in the first fight of ITV's exciting new deal with Al Haymon's PBC.

I know Mowbray has a reputation for having his team's being fit. However again tonight too many of our players looked on their last legs towards the end of the 90 as has been a common theme this season and it has cost us again tonight. Also I have never known a side have so many players miss games through illness. For me the fitness or rather lack off is a real problem for this team and that lies with the manager.

The biggest problem with signing players is that the manager still doesn't know his best formation so he isn't likely to know with any certainty what sort of players he wants. You take a side like Sheffield United Wilder wants to play 3-5-2 and has signed players to suit that formation. Whereas Mowbray doesn't know what formation to play and that has resulted in his signings such as Rothwell, Brereton, Reed, Palmer and Armstrong all playing in numerous positions. Also a lot of deadwood to get rid of in this window and in the summer. Williams, Bell, Smallwood, Evans, Brereton, Conway, Samuel, Bennett (as a full back) not good enough if we want to build a side capable of top 6. A big two windows coming up. For me it's time to say goodbye to a number of those who were part of the promotion. With 7-8 new faces needed to come in and help the club push on.

Hopeless. He could well go down as the worst signing in the clubs history unless he bucks his ideas up. Nuttall looked far better than him tonight.
-
If tonight doesn't show him he needs some defenders then nothing will. He talks up some of the under 23 lads and then plays Bell and Nyambe as centre backs. Another example of what he says and what transpires on the pitch being two different things. Also rather worrying that he still continues to pick Bennett at right back when he clearly isn't good enough to play there.
