  1. He was appointed in early June he had plenty of time to be ready for the January window. And let's be honest it didn't take a genius to know that the position we needed was a striker.
  2. The problem is Broughton the only forward he has been able to find so far is Hirst. He claims to have considered 25 strikers in January and yet didn't mange to get a single one in. Playing without a striker might look very good in tippy tappy youth team football where Broughton had spent his entire career but in senior football results are what matters and you don't win games without putting the ball in the net.
  3. And who clearly doesn't want to be here and is just going through the motions until July.
  4. 3 blatant handballs in our last 3 games the 2 against us don't get given the one by us gets given. It's almost enough to make you want VAR in the Championship but then of course you realise that the same clowns who are out in the officiating now will be the same clowns operating VAR. The authorities in this country really need to do something about the standard of refereeing, it is the biggest crisis in the English game.
  5. If you've got no one to put the ball in the net you aren't going to win games regardless of who the manager is.
  6. Can't fault the effort or performance up to their 18 yard box but manager has been left high and dry Broughton's dismal failure to bring in a striker in January.
  7. If he hadn't come though the system then he would be no way near the first team.
  8. Just putting Scott Wharton on the pitch at the moment is worthy of criticism.
  9. Unbelievable that he brought on Brittain and Wharton to see the game out the two same players he brought on to see out the quarter final. What has happened to Scott Wharton? Every time he steps on the pitch he looks like he has never played a game of football before. But also Hedges what on earth was he thinking firstly he should have taken the ball to the flag but if he is going to go for goal then at least put his foot through it. I personally think there is plenty to like about JDT (certainly a damn sight more than his predecessor) but he does seem very slow to learn. This going to 3 at the back to so called see out a game just doesn't work.
  10. The problem is it's no better in the top flight even with video assistance. The standard of officiating is the biggest crisis in the English game and it is only getting worse.
  11. Not even a foul he pulled out, that was one of the few things the ref got right originally at least until their players moaned the linesman who was a good 30 yards away got himself involved.
  12. We were done over by the ref tonight the equaliser was a clear handball and they should have had a man sent off for the studs down the back of Szmodics leg, that he didn't even book him summed his performance up. Brereton was a disgrace tonight it is time to stop playing him as his heart is not in it. The equaliser summed it up we launch a free kick into their half and he's stood in an offside position. From the free kick for the offside they get the corner that leads to the goal.
  13. Another appointment with next to no experience in senior football.
  14. If Carthorse didn't come through the academy then he would be no way near the first team. He is not Championship standard.
  15. Whilst the manager has to take the blame for that today with his surrender subs make no mistake he has been badly let down the recruitment team 25 strikers looked at and they couldn't get one in, I mean how hard can it be to find a striker that is better than Sam Gallagher. Today with a decent centre forward we win, midweek with one we win at a canter and the same at Leicester.
  16. You thought? I thought Sally was very biased I mean how he could not think that was a penalty despite multiple looks at it.
  17. Be it under Mowbray or JDT I have never seen us play 3/5 at the back and look any good playing it. We were in control of that game until the surrender subs. Brittain absolutely dreadful when he came on just like at Leicester no sooner had he been on he had been culpable for a goal.
  18. Imagine being a young footballer on the cusp of playing in a Wembley FA Cup semi final and you'd rather roll around on the floor feigning injury. It say's a lot about the mentality of young footballers today.
  19. Poor management nothing needed changing. Brittain came on a Leicester and gave a goal away and does exactly the same here.
  20. That is probably the finest Rovers performance I have seen since we got relegated from the Premiership. Outstanding. Dolan, Szmodics, Travis all absolutely superb. JRC now looking like the player I expected to see a few years ago. If we'd have be 4 or 5 up after an hour then it would have been a perfectly fair reflection. But very impressed with the character and the other side of the game that we showed to see the game out. Without wishing to put a downer on the win. Jack Vale bloody hell, any chance of showing a bit of desire to win?
  21. The club were attempting to complete what could have potentially been a club record deal, the most senior executive at the club should be prioritising that over enjoying the corporate hospitality at St Andrews.
  22. That's all well and good but he's not working for us as a coach.
  23. Qualified for what? As far as I can find he never held a job in senior football until we appointed him. The manager is more qualified than him he had 15 year playing career at the top of the club and international game. And as a manager he has won league titles and competed in the Champions League.
