Not if they want to get back to the success they have under Abramovich's ownership. -

As a bloke Darren Moore always comes across as a real gentleman but as a football manager he isn't very good. Sheffield Wednesday have some good players but they just play turgid long ball football. Without a change of manager they will be battling down at the wrong end of the table. -

Leeds must be still ruing the day they sacked Bielsa, he had worked miracles there and at his first real bump in the road was sacked. It will be a few years at they very least until they are back in the Premier League. As for Leicester they must be ruing sticking with the myth that is Brendan Rodgers for far too long this season. -

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

He doesn't write it but they are his thoughts and they are often very good pieces. For a recent example his breakdown of the Madrid City tie in advance of it was spot on. -

If we were to appoint someone with a Man Utd connection then it should be Wayne Rooney he has a very impressive football brain. I think he's got the potential to be a very good manager. -

Ironic that you talk about keeping with the same style yet you were one of Mowbray's biggest backers and he changed style every season. -

Frank always come across as a pretty intelligent chap you'd think he would have more sense than to go near Levy or Spurs. -

Shocking negotiating and from the same people who the previous summer agreed for Newcastle to have 40% of any Armstrong profit. -

Tyler was a great commentator for many years but he is well passed his best now. The problem is like with most things on Sky when he goes it will be a downgrade to someone even worse. -

He'd be mad to leave Brighton for Spurs, Brighton are on the up whereas Spurs are on the way back down. In fact I don't know why any ambitious manager with a good reputation in management would take the Spurs job. -
A massive mistake not to cash in on him a multi million pounds mistake in fact. Fair play to the lad how he has turned it around from when he first came here but I would be staggered if he was a big success in La Liga. I find it bewildering that a club like Villarreal sitting 5th in La Liga and all but certain to be in the Europa League next season are signing him.

Of course the big difference between Mowbray here and at Sunderland is that he hasn't recruited any of their team. -

Which alternative players would you be selecting then? Just look at that bench today its either unfit players or more kids. -

Didn't Bowyer do so as well on one occasion? I seem to remember us beating someone at home in a high scoring game (it might have been Wigan or Ipswich) but we needed other results to go in our favour which of course they didn't. -

A first season that despite the unfortunate/disappointing ending has exceeded my expectations and gives us a solid platform to kick on next season. Defensively we have been solid and I wouldn't expect to see too many changes to the back line, where the improvements are needed is obvious everyone can see it apart from Gregg Broughton it seems. We need some attacking players to put the ball in the back of the net. I'd personally be happy to see Broughton relived of his duties and JDT be in charge of signings. It is also of course in part due to Mowbray's bewildering tactics down the years that we don't have any proper strikers. I'm far more positive looking ahead to next season with Tomasson than I was looking ahead to any season under Mowbray. You can see what Tomasson is trying to build and this year he has laid the foundations for what is to come if he is backed. Also unlike with Mowbray it won't be back to square 1 in the summer as half the team depart either on free's or to return to their parent clubs. But he has to be backed as, he has been badly let down in January and this isn't Mowbray we are talking about this is someone with a good reputation in the game who could walk away if not backed and have job offers from across Europe. -

The fact that they are only getting back into the National League in the year 2023 is already as massive failure for them. -

New Sporting Director / DOF

The biggest issue the team had in January was it had no striker. Broughton by his own admission considered 25 strikers and didn't get one through the door. Had he managed to get a decent Championship striker in we would be sat comfortable in the play offs at worse and have made an FA Cup semi final. Not sure that he was JDT's choice myself as I highly doubt he had ever heard of him. A young English player with a good record in youth football he seems to be very much like a Broughton signing. -
