  1. 5 - They can but can't, but can't but can
  2. If I was being charitable, then maybe he just got caught up in the drama & emotion of the moment (last minute equaliser etc), or maybe he lacks the brain capacity to weigh up that he may face consequences for his actions. It did surprise me, as he had seemed more level headed than that when I've seen him speak in interviews etc previously. I don't find it offensive, just idiotic
  3. Do agree he would be a great signing, but I think he is off to Celtic to replace Hart
  4. https://gwl-aviation.com/products/newcastle-upon-tyne-to-norwich?variant=45224864678153 Same day return by Helicopter ? lol
  5. I do wonder, if this is the case, then is he going now (him being sold in July rather than June) for a similar reason that numerous Prem clubs were buying and selling youngster for silly prices in the last week, as July is a new accounting window Albeit on a much smaller scale
  6. Players under contract cannot just be released. An agreement (on the club paying the player the amount of monies remaining on his contract) has to be made. Even if there was a will to do so on both sides, Rovers simply do not have the funds to be flushing away on such things
  7. Yes - Werder Bremen https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/oliver-burke/transfers/spieler/341317
  8. Johnson already pretty much a done deal for Ipswich. Mubama turned down West Hams contract offer, so would imagine his wage demands are well out of Rovers reach
  9. He does give our lot a run for their money https://www.sheffieldwednesday.news/news/sheffield-wednesday-named-europes-least-sustainable-club-amid-abysmal-124m-reveal/
  10. He was released this summer, was with Barrow for 3 years since his release by Rovers https://cumbriacrack.com/2024/05/02/barrow-to-release-10-players/
  11. If Rovers were ever going to have him on loan or any other capacity, surely it was as part of the Wharton deal
  12. Next week it will be Derby, Leeds and Sheff Wed
  13. Will agree that Rohl looks to be a very decent manager
  14. A few people said that about Birmingham and Stoke last summer
  15. Oliver Burke wasn't it? ended up at Birmingham
  16. In fairness to Chaddy, that question should probably be directed at the "journalist" who wrote the article
  17. Wasn't Danny Batth offered 2 years and then had the rug pulled from under his feet?, I also seem to remember hearing stories that Wahlstedt was offered lower terms once he turned up to sign his contract which had previously bene agreed
  18. Based on Caulkers Wikipedia, he joined the Turkish club he named in 2022, so I would guess 2 years ago. Maybe he was offered a deal prior to JDT and Broughton being hired, and they changed their minds on his signing? Or maybe it was our owners pulling the plug? "On 28 August 2022, Caulker joined Fatih Karagümrük on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal.[72] On 30 December 2022, he left the club after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.[73]"
  19. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/june/29/adam-reflects-on-international-experience/ Based on quotes in this interview, it appears like one of the first senior contracts I mentioned in a previous post (Kahn) has agreed a contract, And as mentioned by another posted, Whitehall is training with the first team squad, so can safely be assumed to have also signed a new contract So we can hope its a case of the club being terrible with communication (again) rather than being unable to agree these contracts..
  20. Maybe it has been agreed that if he has not sorted out a new club by 20th August then he will sign for Rovers if the Indian courts allow it? 😉
  21. 21st. Rovers at 22nd https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/supercomputer-predicts-championship-table-with-sheffield-united-and-hull-city-shocks-leeds-united-and-sheffield-wednesday-twists-4680298?page=1
  22. If we are looking at people who are apparently a ticking time bomb Brandon Williams - free, after being released by Man Utd - looked ok for Ipswich on loan, prior to allegedly crashing his car whilst high on NOS without car insurance, His alleged misdemeanours may have forced him to drop his wage demands to a manageable level if he wants to stay in the North West
  23. TBH I prefer that honest approach over a player kissing the badge one week and then going on strike the next week to secure a move away. If I was head of FIFA, I would write it into football law that every time a player kisses his club badge, he has his weekly salary reduced by 10% and a year added to his contract (as he is obviously so committed to his current club) 😉
