Yes, he will have signed the contract In those sort of cases, the player is "flipped" like a house, for a profit -

The article states there is an option to buy, so if he flops, we send him back, if he does great, its a legally pre agreed fee https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/22/rovers-make-moussa-move-/ I criticise the club for a lot but this actually looks sensible -

I can easily imagine that Β£1.2M is the initial payment Adam Whartons fee, whilst being a guaranteed Β£18M (rising to, Β£22M, sell on fee of X etc etc), only included an initial payment of Β£6M -

And it was all so eminently predictable at the beginning of the summer, that they would fail to do this -

I can see Ozoh & Travis as the first choice 2 at the base of their midfield, but yes, as you say, they could move Adams further forwards -

Their current captain is Ebou Adams, so its conceivable that Travis would take his place in the side meaning they would need a new captain -

Also, stands to reason that as Travis is one of our higher earners, this will also include him having higher performance/appearance bonuses/payments Another few pennies saved! -

Does anyone know if Baradji had his operation? He played that one game for his current club at the start of August, & hasn't featured again since -

15% of any profit Not sure if that will be on the original fee (Β£18M), or whatever it has risen to by the time he is sold (which I think Β£22M was the cap) -

But that is not because of purely football reasons If this was a purely football decision, Michalski would be loaned out to play (rather than sit on the bench) for his development & Pears would either be 2nd choice, or replaced with another senior keeper -

Apparently QPR are due to receive about Β£6M in a sell on fee from Ezes move to Arsenal. So that's another team who were likely thought of as a bottom half of the table rival who just got a boost to their transfer kitty & wage budget Yes I am assuming that income does affect the QPR budget -

If you don't want any other Sky apart from Sky Sports, then you can normally get a sub Β£30/month deal with Now TV for just the Sky Sports package, as long as you sign up for a minimum term. This doesn't include TNT sports, but it is a lower budget option that may suit some

Not only that, Michalski sat on the bench week after week will also stifle his development, which in the medium & long term benefits neither Rovers, nor Michalski He needs to be out on loan in the National League or NLN playing week in, week out But hey ho, saving a few pennies in the here & now is all that matters, apparently Edit - also given his age means that he does not need to be registered in the 25 man squad. a non league loan would mean he could be recalled by Rovers outside of a transfer window should Rovers have an injury crisis (same "loophole" as Montgomery at the back end of last season) -

They had to finish early at 2pm as loading all the european lower leagues at once on Football Manager was too much for their laptop (the scouting team share one these days to save on costs) and it overheated Never fear though, Pasha got us a great deal on a super new laptop from Davesortsitout4U452538527 on ebay, he has 83% positive feedback, so its looking good for a return to work after the weekend π -

I don't see it as an attack on the club, more so the clubs hierarchy Personally I would prefer it if every player who left was more vocal about the shambles of a club we have become, draw some national attention to it, it might force the media, EFL & FA to look at things properly -

It feels like Rovers tried to announce his departure via the back door, and had it not been flagged up, they wouldn't have bothered saying anything, being content that they had pulled the wool over our eyes Similar to the minutes from the fans forum Everything about the club we all love now just feels scummy & underhanded -

I think it probably comes down Rovers being distressed seller again, and the puttaince in the pre arranged fee is probably a few pennies more than the compensation if he moves to the states at the end of his contract -

RE Duru https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25406730.clarity-blackburn-rovers-deal-transfer-confusion/ initial loan does run until December, which is when the MLS play-offs end. However, there is an option to extend that loan deal until June and there is every expectation that will be taken up. The agreement also includes an option for Dan Diego to buy Duru at the end of his deal, understood to be a six-figure sum. The 20-year-old signed a new contract with Rovers in 2024, which runs until the summer of 2026 with the option of a further 12 months. So all in all, San Diego had it right (not Rovers, big surprise), although there is what essentially amounts to a break clause in December Doesn't sound like a great deal for Rovers unless Duru has made it abundantly clear that he will not be signing another contract, which in turn would explain why Dury was not used with the first team in pre/early season
