  1. If we end up with more than 5, Ayari misses out, doesn't even stand out in the U21s
  2. McFadzien isnt on loan, signed on a free
  3. No point signing both, they both play on the right
  4. Think it was similar to when we signed Armstrong from Newcastle, so would imagine so
  5. Just a musing When Siggy signed on loan he took up one of those none work permit slots, is there a chance that when he signed permanently, having played in the Championship for half a season, that he no longer take up one of those slots and therefore we have an extra one? Probably not, but would be nice to know for sure
  6. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/preston-north-end-transfers-championship-20792232 Based on this I don't think he qualifies for a work permit outright, so would need to take up another (the final) of the 4 slots
  7. Think Tronstad got a work permit as he played in the top division in Holland, pretty sure none of the others qualified, so we would have taken up 3 slots by my working
  8. no, and you would be an hour too late
  9. Scholarship at 16 Pro contract at 17 (but only allowed to sign for a max of 3 years) Long term contract when he turns 18
  10. He is not even half decent in the Championship any more https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kyle-mcfadzean/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/32526/wettbewerb/GB2/saison/2023 Look at Coventry's results since he was dropped (along with Ayari who we also signed)
  11. Passing with your favoured foot Passing with your less favoured foot Having an accountant who is ok with "creative accounting practices" Ball control Having a back up accountant just in case the first one develops a conscience/gets locked up for "creative accounting practices Lets Haaland score in training
  12. Eze and Olise both gone off injured for Palace, there is no point them buying Wharton if he has no one in the forward positions who he can pass to, deal off 😉
  13. He could "pause" (not the best term as the end date of his contract didn't change, just the enforcement of any terms that were paused) his contract with his Russian club (hence the prior loan moves), and once he got into the last 6 months of that contract, like any player he was free to negotiate a Bosman free. As his contract was paused (so in legality no longer existed), he then moved 6 months earlier to Rovers on a permanent deal for free
  14. Harrison Burrows is a number 10 or wide attacking player, he gets away with playing left back in League 1 in the same way that Siggy and Dolan got away with playing as wing backs last night Ronnie Edwards, is linked with numerous Prem teams Calvin Ramsay is on loan from Liverpool, hardly got a look in on loan at PNE earlier this season Max Bird 23, Derby, will give you that one
  15. and in the one transfer window that he was allowed to spend decent money... Szmodics, Hyam & Brittain
  16. We get it when the permeant deal goes through, which looks like being the summer
  17. Only chance of doing so is being a recently relegated Prem (and therefore moneyed up) team who is geared up for automatic promotion (ie Leicester with Dewsberry-Hall)
  18. It all depends on if and how the money is reinvested. Brentford showed how this should be done, Its now a case of seeing if Broughton can (and is allowed to) follow the blueprint https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-brentford/rekordabgaenge/verein/1148
  19. Whichever one it is, he is terrible Chair (more a 10 than a CM) and Willock (wide player) are QPRs better players. They certainly do not have any CMs worth having
  20. Could depend on how the deal is structured. How much up front, how much in add ons (and when are they triggered etc) sell on fees etc. Would we take £25M for Adam Wharton? Probably. Would we take £25M spread over 25 years? Probably not
  21. I think if we are honest with ourselves, most of us (even those who were willing to give Szmodics time) thought that he was a strange signing when we had Dack, and that the money may have been better spent elsewhere. Delighted to have been proven wrong on that
