  1. Surely it's a better sign than if he couldn't walk on it.
  2. Astonishing the ref did not insist on it being changed for a colour clash.
  3. It took Burnley 3 promotions to stabilise as a PL club - that will be the norm for many clubs
  4. We've won every time we've scored first.
  5. Drifted out to 9/2 in the betting.
  6. Yes I think you're right. Fans here can't have it both ways; if his contract is not renewed then some will complain about lack of ambition etc but if it is then the moment he gets injured a la Ayala they will complain about us signing injury prone players. With the recent birth of his child he may well want to return to Germany anyway.
  7. I think too injury prone for that - needs to be strongly geared towards pay as you play.
  8. Other than the last couple of years Holtby has spent his career playing in the top flight in England and Germany; injuries have caught up with him but on a good day he is a high class player. Had he not suffered with injuries he would not be with a club at our level.
  9. It seems to depend on who gets the first goal - if we do we go on and win easily because the opposition have to come forward more.
  10. Debates will always go on about who was the greatest player ever. All that a player can do is be the best in the era in which they played and Maradona was indisputably the best of his era.
  11. Eastham has to get some games to develop.
  12. There were one or two "big lads" but he is certainly one of them - has blond hair. Reminds me a bit of Declan Rice.
  13. They had a man sent off so played the second half with 10 men. They gave up the midfield and defended the edge of the penalty area. It didn't look as if we had a great passer who could break them down. Best prospect looked to be centre back Garrett who is not 18 until next March but who stepped up in to midfield and a lot of the play went through him.
  14. Last minute winner from Durrant
  15. To equate a 1-1 draw with Luton with Covid and job losses is ludicrous.
