  1. That's shocking. Although technically they could be listed as N/A like Brum.
  2. Just seen an advert for the Premier league summer series here in the US. Tickets starting at 45 up in the gods and some even cost several hundred. That's a lot of money in a huge American football stadium! Divided by 4 teams as its a double-header. 9 matches in total for 6 teams. Guessing we won't be as adventurous this summer. Personally I would much prefer watching Rovers vs Accy/Wigan with a pie in one hand a cup of bovril in the other for a tenner.
  3. Just seen the final U21s table! Very close in the end with 3 teams tied on 28 points. Spurs went down on goal difference with their fancy academy. Bet Ash Phillips is relieved he stayed! Leicester also had a disaster with their modern multi-million pound academy too
  4. Luton seem too strong for Sunderland. As a side note, quite a few ex Rovers doing well this season. Apart from Armstrong today of course
  5. Great news for the whole club. Maybe I was slightly overconfident that we were safe after beating spurs....
  6. Maybe Wolves are in trouble too. If they don't beat Fulham today, they will need points against Crystal Palace and/or Man city to finish above us.
  7. Great turnaround and win. That will surely see us stay up this season. Big boost for our academy and future player development. I was slightly surprised that we didn't play more fringe first team players today given how important the game was.
  8. This is a must win game for Norwich, away at one of the strongest home sides in the league. In front of the biggest crowd of the season.... I fancy our chances. 2-0 Rovers. Brereton Diaz and Dolan/Dack to score
  9. Looking forward to today's game. Hoping for an entertaining game with a few youngsters getting on the pitch. If we win it'll be another 120k in our transfer kitty, so we better play our best 11. 3-1 rovers, BBD, Dack and Wharton.
  10. Apologies in advance, but this will be the 3rd game in a row I've watched.... surely can't be worse than the last two. Going for a fired up Rovers winning 2-0.
  11. Disappointing if they won't get any more shirts in. I've converted some friends and we are after 2-3 home shirts....
  12. Anyone know much about him? I used to play for the same club (but not the same team) and he was one of the best u19 strikers in Germany. Wouldnt suprise me if he scored over 50% of the teams goals during the season. Scored loads of goals at youth level, but then struggled for a year or two until things clicked in his 2nd season in the third division leading to his move to Belgium where he did really well! I think he was fairly fast and strong. He scored lots of spectacular long range goals too. He's a good player with a very good scoring record at almost every club he's played at.
  13. Our second half performance beat their second half performance 😉
  14. Watched less than 10mins of the game and already seen Burnley concede 3 goals! Awful defending from set pieces. More optimistic of our chances next weekend now!
  15. Just came across this tweet: I wonder where we rank in the US and more importantly in India? Haven't met a fellow Rover here in Washington DC yet or an Indian whose heard of Venkys either. Quite a few Americans have heard of Rovers though and the Premier league is the most liked league, with probably Liverpool/ Manchester Utd being the top two teams
  16. Are all the games shown on Sky also shown on ESPN+? Just seen that tonight's and the Sunderland game are available. Guess the Burnley game will also be too? If so it'll be worth subscribing to see them as they won't be on rovers TV.
  17. I think I've picked the wrong game to watch on ifollow. Being second best to Luton is never something a Rovers team should aspire to be. Great block by pickering!
  18. No watching football at four couts in Arlington for a while.... https://wtop.com/arlington/2022/08/4-hurt-as-car-crashes-into-building-in-arlington/ If anyone fancies watching a rovers game in a different pub near Washington let me know.
  19. I'd recommend the fish and chips! Maybe not for breakfast though. Also whilst you're wandering around, it's worth popping into some of the free museums and the zoo nearby.
  20. Anyone else in DC? I've just moved here, but no idea if there are any bars showing the games. Thanks for the ESPN tip - will keep a look out, but guessing Rovers TV is my best bet...
  21. Great work! Hopefully end up close to 9500 sold, maybe more if we play well in the first few games. Still think the international flex ticket is expensive and doubt we would sell many. In principle its a good initiative though. Would be interested to know how many of those we sell.
  22. Great idea, do other companies do this for their employees too? Do you know if Rovers pay the difference or totally wicked? Seen something similar in Germany with VW.
  23. Sad to see another academy graduate leave on a free. Be interesting to see how career progresses now. Always represented us well and tried his best, so I wish him all the best apart from the two games he plays against us this coming season.
