January Transfer Window.

Anyone know much about him? I used to play for the same club (but not the same team) and he was one of the best u19 strikers in Germany. Wouldnt suprise me if he scored over 50% of the teams goals during the season. Scored loads of goals at youth level, but then struggled for a year or two until things clicked in his 2nd season in the third division leading to his move to Belgium where he did really well! I think he was fairly fast and strong. He scored lots of spectacular long range goals too. He's a good player with a very good scoring record at almost every club he's played at. -

Our second half performance beat their second half performance 😉 -

Watched less than 10mins of the game and already seen Burnley concede 3 goals! Awful defending from set pieces. More optimistic of our chances next weekend now! -

Just came across this tweet: I wonder where we rank in the US and more importantly in India? Haven't met a fellow Rover here in Washington DC yet or an Indian whose heard of Venkys either. Quite a few Americans have heard of Rovers though and the Premier league is the most liked league, with probably Liverpool/ Manchester Utd being the top two teams -
Are all the games shown on Sky also shown on ESPN+? Just seen that tonight's and the Sunderland game are available. Guess the Burnley game will also be too? If so it'll be worth subscribing to see them as they won't be on rovers TV.

I think I've picked the wrong game to watch on ifollow. Being second best to Luton is never something a Rovers team should aspire to be. Great block by pickering! -
No watching football at four couts in Arlington for a while.... https://wtop.com/arlington/2022/08/4-hurt-as-car-crashes-into-building-in-arlington/ If anyone fancies watching a rovers game in a different pub near Washington let me know.

I'd recommend the fish and chips! Maybe not for breakfast though. Also whilst you're wandering around, it's worth popping into some of the free museums and the zoo nearby.

Anyone else in DC? I've just moved here, but no idea if there are any bars showing the games. Thanks for the ESPN tip - will keep a look out, but guessing Rovers TV is my best bet...

Season tickets 2022/23
Hannoverover replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Great work! Hopefully end up close to 9500 sold, maybe more if we play well in the first few games. Still think the international flex ticket is expensive and doubt we would sell many. In principle its a good initiative though. Would be interested to know how many of those we sell. -

Great idea, do other companies do this for their employees too? Do you know if Rovers pay the difference or totally wicked? Seen something similar in Germany with VW. -

Sad to see another academy graduate leave on a free. Be interesting to see how career progresses now. Always represented us well and tried his best, so I wish him all the best apart from the two games he plays against us this coming season. -

"Season ticket sales have already surpassed the number sold last season, and the club would like to thank all those who have purchased so far." Interesting. -

Admire your effort/computer skills! Wonder if and how many complimentary tickets are included. 7000+ is more than I expected. Guess that another 1-2000 will be added by the time they go off sale, which would be an impressive number considering the price/increase in living costs. -

149 for a six game International ticket is a bit pricey. Assuming cost of a single adult ticket must be significantly more than 25 per game! Also only 3 cat A games allowed. Hannoverover will soon become Washingtonrover so it's not an option for me anyway. Is anyone else tempted? -

Pretty much last throw of the dice here I fear. Anything less than a win and it's season over I think. I very optimistically graded Mowbray as an 8 on the other thread assuming that we end up in the play offs at the end of the season. Looks like it'll be downgraded to somewhere between a 5 and a 6 if our form continues. But you never know, I will still be following the game hoping for a win and a playoff place at the end of the season. No idea what will happen today, but we've got close to our strongest team on the pitch today. Not that it helped much over the last 2 months..... -
Half of our first team came through our academy. It's the only part of the club that is at premier League standard. If not sold, the training ground may still be ok. I was hoping on a good crop of academy players to get us promoted one day. Without our top tier academy, the rest of the club, apart from our history, is currently second tier at best.
-
I can't believe that this is true... wouldn't make any logical sense whatsoever. However if true it would be a disaster.

Very impressive victory over man utd u18s today. I often hear that our youth system gets their rejects.... no idea if it's first 11 vs first 11, but they are having a great season.
-
If you ignore our current horrible run of form I think play off position deserves an 8. If our form continues and we end up mid table, it'll probably be closer to a 6. Promotion via the play offs would be a 9? 10? Definitely not expecting that to happen though. Let's see what happens after the international break
-
Looking objectively: League position: relegation zone to 6th place Playing squad: completely rebuilt squad which is younger and has a much higher value (I'm ignoring contract statuses here) Club has a completely different feel to it than when he took over. As he's promised multiple times, the club is in a much better position. Right now I would give him an 8/10. In 6 weeks probably a different score.

Second best all over the pitch. Still out of form. Can't see where a goal is coming from unless changes are made -
v Nottingham Forest (h) - 9/2/22
Hannoverover replied to dallydally's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We seem to be beating ourselves here. Disjointed performance, stupid decisions. Forest haven't done much, but they will win easily now. OK for Rothwell to pick up a yellow to break up the attack, but that could very easily have been a red. Frustrating. -

Was just about to write that we look like a team out of form. Don't look stable at the back, midfield and upfront disjointed. Also very harsh yellow on Buckley.
